I was recently going through my files and found this piece, "Hush Little Baby" and "Inadvertent," and a few others. But I like these three best. All three are responses to Kink Memes on LJ and any recognizable characters are not mine.

Break My Heart

Morgan collapsed on his couch, rubbing his hands over his face. The case was solved and everyone was safe. Reid was safe

Jesus, he thought his heart was going to start when Reid slammed that door shut, when he had been infected. It broke Morgan's heart to think that he might lose his Pretty Boy before he had a chance to tell him.

Ding!

His head jerked up. Clooney raced in from the laundry room, barking at the computer with all his might.

"Down boy, the computer isn't going to hurt you."

Morgan calmed Clooney and sat down by his laptop. He brought up his e-mail and smiled when he saw a new message from Garcia.

'He doesn't know I sent this.'

He who?

Morgan clicked the attachment and leaned back in his chair as it started to play.

'Morgan, Derek. I can see you from here, on your cell phone, pacing and I keep watching you instead of focusing on finding the cure. Even when my life is in jeopardy, I can still only think about you. I've only been able to think about you for a while now...'

Morgan slowly leaned forward, listening to Reid's trembling voice tell him how he fell in love, not with some starlet or a cute bartender, but with him, Derek Morgan.

'And I just... I don't want to die without you knowing how much I care, no, how much I love you and how sorry I am that I never worked up the courage to tell you when I- Anyway, I love you, Derek Morgan.'

Clooney whimpered and nuzzled Morgan's hand. He absently petted the dog as he stared at his computer screen. Hot tears dripped onto his other hand and the keyboard. The skin on his cheeks felt too tight and his eyes burned, like they had when Reid slammed that door.

All this time wasted, because two FBI agents were afraid.

Wiping his face with his free hand, he fished his cell phone out of his pocket and dialed the hospital, then the extension to Reid's room.

"Dr. Reid's room, his personal assistant speaking."

"Baby Girl..."

"He's right here and wide awake."

He could hear her murmuring to Reid about getting coffee. Then Reid's voice came over the line, quiet and soft, but not trembling with tears. "Hello?"

"Spencer, it's Derek."
