Chapter 1, two years after Inheritance

Nasuada looked carefully across the whole of Alagaesia trying to spot any discord but it seems that her work to clean up after Galbatorix had succeeded. She was just about to leave when she spotted a crimson blur in the distance. Thorn? Her mind asked before her suspicions were confirmed as the dragon landed near the main gate. She ran over as quickly as she could just when arrived guard called out to her. "Lady Nasuada!" he cried "come!" That's when she saw Thorn looking at the figure two guards was supporting with a shock she realized who it was: Murtagh but he was bloody and beaten, clothes half-ripped and a huge bleeding scar running across his head.

"Fetch a healer." She commanded.

"but my la..." the guard replied.

"NOW!" she bellowed.
