You are far away,
But you never leave my side.
You are in the breeze off the water,
The serenade on the radio,
The secret smile in my heart.
To my eyes you will never again appear,
Yet I see you in my every waking dream.
We are impossible,
Yet reality does not exist here,
Not in this place
Not in these glimmers of eternity,
when I see your face.
You are with me,
Until the moon falls from the sky,
Until the stars close their eyes,
..and as that will never happen in my mind,
You will be here,
Sitting near me,
For as long as we need.
