"Why do they love him?"

David, a great being that's always there to help. One that wants the best for everyone and does his best to achieve that.

So why then, why are you sad?

Why do you think you aren't as such?

It has been proven that someone is better and you know you can't compare, they love him after all. Even Max said so, that kid doesn't like anything, but he cares for that man?

You should accept that fact, but still you lay in bed thinking, what makes the two of you different. "What makes him better?" you question yourself.

"Is it his white hair? or his atelier?" you both look so alike so that can't be.

Maybe you don't care for them, maybe they even hate you? When you're there they groan. Their day seems so gray, you try, but maybe you shouldn't? Would it be better to leave them to their own?

He wouldn't do it

If he wouldn't then you surely won't.

Though, what are you to do?

Ask him, talk to him

That's what you'll do

On a dim lit day, in the break of morning. A man with bright red hair drives to the nearest hospital with a question in mind. "What makes you better?"

He arrives and waits, but soon gets to see the man that he's been thinking about for far to long. The man is sickly and pale, but it's hard to note considering the mans normal look.

"Daniel?" A soft voice comes from the visitor.

"Yes" The man looks up and has an empty expression.

Unsure of how to form the question properly, they stay in silence, until David finds some words. "How are you?".

He's met by an empty stare and a bothered look, "What do you want?" is the only respond he receives.

Now what is dear David to do, he doesn't want to hurt, but he wants to know. Therefore he has no choice. "Why do they love you?" He asks abruptly to the sickly man.

And on that sickly man there is a smile "I make them safe, I protect them. I do what no one else can, I help"

There is a silens as David doesn't know what to say, he simply wonders "Is it so? He can't help them?" And before he can muster a word. "Do you want help?". David looks into those cold eyes as he continues to listen. "I can help you help them, would you want that?". A soft "yes" escapes David's lips as he stays unmoving.

A time and a place, it's in motion

It starts out simple, David seems to come and go from time to time. The campers are unsure as to why, all he says is that he does it for them, but Gwen is there so why should they care?

Worry comes when he's more gone than at camp, what is he up to they wonder.

David has been spending some quality time with Daniel. He has learned a lot and he's grateful, maybe he can finally be loved by all the campers. It would be a wish come true and it would all be thanks to Daniel, he's such an saint.

"Let's take a toast for this wonderful friendship"

David said with glee, as he took forth the punch both he and Daniel had been working on.

They take the toast, or David does at least.

"Emotions are a curious thing

But you want to feel safe to, don't you?"
