AN: You know they're not my characters. I just write strange things about them.
Still laughing loudly, and leaning on each other for support, the two young men staggered through the door into the house which they and two other friends shared. There was a strong smell of burnt pizza, which wasn't exactly unusual. Neither Sora nor Roxas were capable of making so much as a bowl of cereal without messing up somehow, so a pizza was way beyond their capabilities. Riku made a quick dash to the kitchen to make sure nothing was on fire. They'd had to disable the fire alarm months ago because Axel kept "accidentally" setting it off. He seemed to have pyromaniac tendencies. It was a miracle the house was still standing, after they'd been living in it for almost a year.
Meanwhile, Axel had wandered into the living room, expecting it to be empty, since he couldn't hear people talking. He certainly wasn't prepared for the sight that greeted him. Smirking to himself, he went to find Riku, dragging him into the room, and warning him to keep quiet.
"I'm the quiet one, unless you've forgotten. You're the noisy one, remember?"
"Look. Just look at them."
So Riku looked. And understood why Axel had insisted on them being quiet. Sora and Roxas were asleep on the couch, but that wasn't all. They were wrapped in each other's arms, Sora's head resting on Roxas's shoulder. Unfortunately, as Axel saw it, they were fully clothed, so obviously nothing had been going on.
"What are we going to do, Riku? They look so cute, all cuddled up like that. Why don't we ever do that?"
"No one could call you cute – the word just isn't applicable. And we used to do that, until you decided you liked something else better."
"Oh. That's true."
Axel disappeared from the room before Riku could say anything, but returned five minutes later with a camera. Riku's camera, to be specific about it.
"Where have you been hiding that, Axel? I've been looking for it for weeks."
"Oh, just lying around." He proceeded to take photographs of the couple on the couch. "Perfect blackmail material."
"Trust you to think like that."
…………………
A week later, the photos had been printed – in fact, they'd arrived in the post that morning. Sora and Roxas had kept very quiet about their night in, and as far as Axel and Riku knew, it hadn't happened again. Not that they knew for certain – they'd spent more time out than at home, after all.
Axel sat on that same couch, flicking through the pictures. Now he remembered why he'd stolen the camera in the first place – Riku had been taking photos of him at the beach. The Sora/Roxas pictures looked good, though. Roxas chose that moment to wander into the room, and he couldn't help looking over Axel's shoulder. The blush was immediate.
"I didn't know you'd seen us."
"We couldn't wake you up – you looked too sweet."
Roxas pulled a face at that. "I'm not sweet."
"More so than I am." Axel flicked through the pictures again, selecting one for Roxas. "Here you go."
It really was an adorable image. Even Roxas couldn't deny that, much as he'd like to. Sora would absolutely love it.
"Thanks, Axel."
