So, yeah, Lori? Definitely not her biggest fan [mostly because she showed up and now it seems like Danny's balls dropped off somewhere along the way]...but I did laugh when she said this. So I was bored and took the line and ran with it, hope you like it, just a little shortie ;).
"So, how long have you two been married?" Lori laughed at the bickering pair in front of her.
"Our first anniversary is in a month and a half," Steve declared with a sudden boyish grin,
It took Lori a moment to find her voice. "Wait—are you serious?" she burst out, looking between the two men. Steve looked cheerful, Danny slightly pained.
"As a heart attack," Danny offered dryly. Steve shot him a look.
"You two…are actually married," Lori clarified, still feeling like they were messing with her.
They both held up their left hand, revealing identical gold bands on each respective ring finger. "'Til death do us part," Steve smiled. Danny rolled his eyes.
"Oh…my god," Lori laughed, "Because I was totally joking when I said it."
Danny shrugged. "Enough people made that assumption, so we thought, hey, why the hell not?" He smirked.
"We do have a crime scene waiting for us, remember?" Steve planted his hands on his hips impatiently.
"Yes, dear" Danny quipped, swatting Steve's ass lightly as he turned to continue up the path.
"Hey!" the darker-haired man protested, and they were off, bickering resuming full steam ahead.
Lori smiled to herself as she followed. Maybe she wasn't such a bad profiler after all.
