Even before the explosion, Audra was already having a bad day.

It started with the dream. It was about after her, her "brother" Ozzy, and Ozzy's cold pill partner Drix had saved their city of Frank from a virus named Thrax who wanted to destroy Frank. She dreamed about the city burning form the intense heat, recuing the people in danger, finding out her brother was shot out of the mouth to hunt down Thrax, and delivering the chain to the brain and how the brain had somehow "instructed" her on where to put back the missing piece, how she had blacked out and ended up in the hospital.

After her recovery, the chief had called all three of them into his office. The only other person in there was Leah. He asked Audra about her powers and she had given him the same response as she gave Ozzy when he first asked- that she didn't know how she got them, that she had them since she was little. After talking it over with her, the chief allowed Audra to use her powers just as long as they kept it between him, Leah, Ozzy and Drix. It made her happy to know that she wasn't going to be kicked out and that she could still be Discharge and use her powers to help people.

The chief stared at her and said in an ominous voice, "It's only a matter of time."

The lights dimmed, making the office dark and sinister. Audra's eyes widened with fear as her friends and family morphed together to form a shadowy figure she hoped to never see again.

"Did you really think you'd never see me again?"

"You're not real!" Audra growled at the figure, "You're not here! You're gone! Get out of my head!"

The figure chuckled evilly. "I'm real, Audi. Very real. I'll never leave you pipsqueak. You know this."

Large clawed hands protruded out of the shadowy figure. Audra fired a lightning bolt at them, only to have no effect. The claws swiped at her with lightning speed, sending Audra flying.

The figure formed his hands together into a giant fist. "I'm coming for you Audi!" He said ominously, thrusting his hands downward on top of Audra…

Audra woke up in a cold sweat. Static cling buzzed in her room, lifting up her blanket and other objects into the air. Stopping the static cling and setting the objects down, she wiped her brow.

A month. It had only been a month after Frank's near death incident and the same dream replayed over and over in her mind. As she got out of bed she wondered if her dream wasn't a dream. What if it was a vision of some sort?

She shook her head. That couldn't be right. Frank was starting to be healthy and Discharge wasn't a public menace anymore. Everything was perfect! Well, she did know that everything wouldn't always be perfect and that bad things would happen.

But this was one bad thing that she needed to never happen.

Audra put on a purple tee-shirt with blue pants and her black sneakers. She took her superhero outfit and stuffed it inside her backpack and headed into the kitchen. The smell of cell cakes hung in the air as she sat down at the table. Ozzy was halfway done with his stack by the time Audra got hers.

She took a bite, swallowed, and said, "These are fantastic! Drix, did you make these?"

"Hey, how do you know that I didn't make these?" Ozzy said between mouthfuls of cell cakes.

"Because the last time I ate something that you cooked I had food poisoning for a week."

"How was I supposed to know that the expiration date passed?"

"You didn't know because you didn't check it."

Drix interrupted by replying, "Yes I did make these. Good morning Audra. Did you sleep well last night?"

Audra nearly choked on her cell cake. She used her electricity to grab a cup, fill it up with water, and chug it down.

"Audi are you ok?" Ozzy asked her.

She cleared her throat. "Yep I'm fine. Last night was fine. Everything is fine."

Ozzy looked at his sister with concern. "You sure you're ok?"

"Yes." Audra finished the last of her pancake and put her fork and dish in the sink. "Do we have patrol this morning?"

Ozzy got up and put his dish in the sink. "Yep. Just a routine patrol, nothing special."

"We'd better get going." Drix said.

The trio left the apartment building and drove around the bloodstream. Audra was glad that it was just a routine patrol. Routine patrols were just a drive around the blood stream checking the digestive tract and heart, making sure that they were healthy. A routine patrol was common and uneventful.

A routine patrol to Audra meant that nothing bad was happening.

They cruised down the aorta valve checking for any suspicious activity. After a little bit, Ozzy complained, "Man! Not a peep today! What? Are all the criminals on vacation or something?"

"That should be a good thing." Drix said, "No criminal activity means that Frank is in good condition."

"Yeah, sure. But a little action around here wouldn't hurt."

"You don't know how much it would." Audra mumbled to herself.

Ozzy quickly glanced back at her. "You say something?"

"No."

Drix looked at Audra and asked in a concerned voice, "Are you sure you're feeling well, Audra? You've been rather quiet these past weeks. Maybe we should take you to a doctor?"

"Drix," Ozzy said, "you are a doctor."

"I'm not that kind of doctor. Even though I do have an FDA certification in…"

"Guys," Audra interrupted, "I'm fine. Really."

"You know you can talk to us about anything." Ozzy said. "Except girl stuff. You'll have to talk to Leah about that stuff."

They continued the patrol and, as Audra hoped, nothing eventful had happened. The heart was pumping blood in Frank without trouble. The digestive tract was operating just fine. Everything was just-

The car cop radio suddenly blared to life. All cops report to the left shoulder! An explosion has occurred! I repeat- an explosion has occurred in the left shoulder!

Ozzy pumped the breaks and made a U-turn. Zooming up the bloodstream, the car headed straight for the left shoulder. Ozzy weaved in and out of traffic with more or less carelessness.

"Jones!" Drix yelled.

Audra held on to the seat as the car veered back and forth. An explosion, she wondered. How? Her powers would have sensed the muscle's electricity from being exposed by the explosion; so why didn't she know about it first?

Her thoughts were interrupted as they drew closer to the site. The pain started out small and started to grow as they neared the explosion. Audra knitted her brows- the pain… it was too familiar…

The car stopped and the three stared out at the scene with wide eyes. An entire area of muscle was pure black and billowing smoke. As they exited the car, they saw that pieces of the muscle were ripped up and strewn all over the ground in crumpled up burning chunks. Fire lapped out of a few spots on the smoking muscle as firefighters and cops were working together to put it out. A familiar firefighter emerged from behind a fire truck and, spotting the trio, marched up toward them.

Ozzy was the first to greet him. "Dougy-Doug! My man is really on fire today! What the heck happened up here?"

Doug, the fire chief, greeted them. "Drix. Jones. Audra. To answer your question Jones, we don't know. A cop on patrol in the muscular system heard a loud boom. So loud, he said, that it shook his car a bit. When he arrived, this whole place was a fiery-smoking blaze of furry. We arrived as soon as we could and have been trying to put it out all morning."

Drix cocked his gun. "I'd better go and help those firefighters put it out."

"Is the cop on duty still here?" Ozzy asked Doug.

"He's over here." Doug started to lead Ozzy to him. As he followed, Ozzy called back to Audra, "Get back to the car." When they disappeared, Audra checked for anyone around, teleported into the car, quickly changed into her Discharge outfit, and teleported back.

Audra crept along the shadows. Her eyes glanced up at the smoking hole. The pain in her head and the hole were things she knew to be all too familiar.

As she kept looking, her eyes caught hold of a few sparks emitting from one of the chunks of smoking muscle. Audra walked over to it cautiously. Using her static cling she slowly flipped it over…

…and read the fiery carved out word…

Pipsqueak.

Audra's eyes widened with worry. Her dream wasn't a dream or a vision; it was worse than that. It was real. A deep sinking feeling filled Audra's gut as she held back a raging scream.

He was here.

He found her.

Again.
