Disclaimer: I do not own Animal Crossing. Why would you think I did? o.O

It was a long day of fishing, as I headed over to Tom Nook's store to sell a days worth of seashells and fish. As I made my way to the door, I noticed the lights were off, and a sign that had been pinned to the front. Taking a moment to read it, I realized that Tom Nook was finally updating his shop!

"Oooh. I bet it has two floors." Smiling, I shuffled off back to my house to sleep until the grand re-opening.

The next morning came soon enough, and I went back to see if my prediction was true. And ho boy, was my prediction true! The beautiful displays of Nookington's made me want to take a peek inside, and I was instantly greeted by Tom, now looking very flashy in his purple suit.

"Welcome to Nookington's! I see you like the new upgrade, yes?" He looked very pleased with himself as I nodded in approval.

"Well don't be shy, take a look around and see if there's anything you like!"

So I took a quick look around the first floor, before excitingly heading on up to the newly installed second floor.

There, waiting for customers, were two of the cutest raccoons I had ever seen. Timmy and Tommy Nook, respectfully fulfilling their duty in the family business, watched me with their large, adorable, round eyes as I browsed their wares. When I had enough, I went back downstairs to see that Tom was still standing around, waiting to be of service.

"See anything you wanted?" He asked cheerfully as I descended the steps.

"Yes." I said. Tom's face lit up.

"Well then, name what it was, and I'll give you a bargain!"

I looked thoughtful, considering if I really wanted what I had in mind. But my mind was already made up, so I gave it a shot.

"Those little raccoons upstairs. I want them." I informed him, smiling pleasantly.

The look on Tom's face vanished, replaced with a look of shock, before smiling as though someone had just told him a funny joke.

"The boys? No, those are my sons. They're not for sale." He laughed. "Nice try."

I kept my face serious.

"Name a price."

Tom's laughter died out. "E-excuse me?"

"Name a price, and I'll pay it. Those kids are so adorable, and they can even rhyme. You know how awesome it would be to have rhyming twins to display in my house? Do you have any idea? I will pay ANYTHING, good sir. Now just give me a price."

The raccoon's tone became concerned. "Now hold on, miss. They're my family. My CHILDREN. I can't sell you my children, they're priceless to me!"

"I'll give you 100,000 Bells."

Tom did not look amused.

"Are you serious? What kind of sick joke is this? I can't sell you my flesh and blood! You must be joking!"

I shook my head.

"I admit, that wasn't a fair price. How about 1 Mil. Bells? 2 Mil.? C'mon, what do you want?

Tom stared at me, dumbfounded by my perseverance.

Just then, two little heads poked into the room, to see what the commotion was about.

"Dad, what's going on? on..." Timmy asked.

As Tom turned to answer his child, I grabbed one of the shovels on display...

Later that evening, my friend Merry had come over to eat some of the fish I had caught before. As we enjoyed ourselves, Merry noticed the two raccoons that stood in the corner, watching us with fearful eyes.

"Aw, they're so cute! Where did they come from, Jenni?"

"Oh, it was a bargain deal from Nookington's..."

Author's Note: I am such a horrible person. XD I actually like Tom Nook, but if it were between keeping his friendship and trust, or keeping those adorable little helpers from his shop... well... Ahem, review, please! Thank you for reading! =D
