CHAPTER 2: My Nightmares Part 1
My mind was racing… what just happened? Was any of it real? Or was it some sick incantation I kept saying in my mind: Edward is gone.. the angel I once loved floating in the skies… he was dead.
I screamed as I fell into a white abyss stretching as far as the eye could see nothing but white. Oh god, I am DEAD. "No my love. I am." Edward came from behind me and grabbed my waist as he murmured into my neck. I turned "What?!" I looked at his flawless features but saw no sign of a fatal wound at all. "I can't live without you Bella." He whispered once more and disappeared into nothingness. "Edward!" I fell to my knees and screamed What was that? Suddenly I was falling once more, but this time everything was black. "What is this?!" I yelled, hearing no reply I took a deep breath. As I looked down I saw I was standing on a street in the countryside, the tall prairie grass blowing in the wind. I stepped to the middle of the street to examine all around me when I saw a bright light speeding towards me. Screaming I couldn't move, I was in so much shock and when I felt something heavy hit my chest hard I fell back and felt something crush me. I looked down at where I had fallen, not getting up I saw the ground was stained with something dark. I put my finger in it and saw that it was blood, MY blood. I couldn't get up, I was in so much pain, and the blood was coming out quickly. I tried to scream for help but found that no one was there, I was alone and I was going to bleed to death if I didn't get help soon. Suddenly I heard a voice behind me saying "The truck hit me fast and soon the blood was thinning in my body, just as it is yours. Tonight my pain is your pain Bella."
"Bella!" Charlie shook me awake and I hugged him tightly, crying into his shirt. "A nightmare." I whispered and he hugged me tighter, pulling me into his chest, protecting me from the memory of the horrors of the nightmare. "Will you be okay?" Charlie asked his brow furrowing in concern, I shook my head yes and lay awake all night, never closing my eyes, I couldn't relive Edward's accident, even if it wasn't real.
