The Rape of Innocence
Unfamiliar emotions strip the soul and leave it bare
Tears stain soft virgin skin so fair
Scared and scarred, no longer able to pretend
Wounds so deep, unable to mend
Fear consumes, starved for humanity
Love slain by senseless vanity
Death drenches youthful eyes leaving them frail
Life smothered by cruelty's thick vale
Hate clouds the sun turning hope blind
Sadistic lust taints the untouched mind
Chaos spreads, breeding confusion
Defenseless naivety locked in hallow seclusion
Twisted kindness demands acknowledgment
Sweet blood bares reprehensible punishment
Dark night silences joy's bruised rays
Torment fallows, a loyal pet that never strays
Black blood rusts cold rage
Strong wrath fades not with age
Righteous pride broken by greed's clever lies
And somewhere in a corrupt abyss lost innocence cries
