They Were Friends Once...

Series of drabbles focused on Dean's friendship with Cas (also Sam and Bobby.)

Stay Out of My Bubble

"Cas we've talked about this…personal space."

"My apologies."

Dean had just stepped out of the motel room shower. Sam had left to get some food and bring back; both boys were starving after a successful hunt in Idaho. Stepping carefully, as to not to slip on the wet floor, Dean wrapped the towel around himself and stepped to the sink. He grabbed the toothbrush and toothpaste.

"Hello Dean."

"HOLY-" Dean jumped back and promptly slipped on the floor, causing toothpaste to squirt out of the tube and coat the mirror, sink, and counter. Cas reached out and caught Dean's arms as his charge fell back into him.

Dean growled, "GOD DAMMIT CAS!"

Castiel helped Dean stand upright again, but Dean slipped yet again, and the towel fell off. Dean did realize it though, because he was to focused on the shock that flowed through his body. He looked down on his shoulder and saw Cas' hand covering the scar.

"Cas, what was that?" Dean asked, breathing heavily.

"Nothing… of import." Cas bent down and grasped Dean's towel off the floor and handed it to him.

Flush rose to his cheeks as he yelled, "Cas, get out!"

Cas chuckled to himself before he flew out of the bathroom. Dean gathered himself, cleaned up and changed. He walked out of the bathroom to see Cas standing in the corner. "We've gotta talk." He said, pointing at the angel. "About personal space."

Cas titled his head in confusion.

"You stay at least three steps out of my bubble-"

"Dean you have no bubble."

"Figure of speech Cas." Dean sighed. "Listen dude I'm human. Human's need personal space. That means keep back a few steps and do not pop in when I am in the bathroom."

"My apologies Dean." Dean swore he saw a playful smirk in the angel's blue eyes.

Sam walked in the door with food. "Oh hey Cas." He turned to his brother. "Did I miss anything?"

"Dean was informing me to stay out of his…bubble."
