A/N: Sorry for the bad chapter! Hope you enjoy my first fanfic!
Flynn Selwyn was walking down Wall Street in New York vanishing in and out of sight. As people were watching him walk by, he smiled and basked in the glory of it all. He continued to walk down the sidewalk just as a light haired girl and her friend ran right into him.
"Watch it!" He said.
"Oh..umm sorry, I didn't see you there." She said looking down and blushing.
"Oh yeah duh, I do that sometimes, where I vanish and no one can see me. I'm a superhuman, and it's amazing." The girl tucked a blond strand of hair behind her ear, and stepped back. Her friend stared at him.
"Hey, can I talk to you for a second?" The blond haired girl's friend said to her quietly. She nodded and he pulled her aside, right out of earshot of Flynn. Though he caught a few things. Even as people walking by were staring at them like they were speaking a different language.
"Do you think..no humans..how would he even be able to speak the enlightened language...yes I know...maybe he's the guy…" He heard them whisper to each other.
"What's the enlightened language? I'm the guy?" Flynn asked. They walked back over to each other. "What's going on? I'm confused. I think I'm just going to go now." Flynn turned and started to walk away.
"No wait!" The girl grabbed his arm and pulled him back. "I'm Sophie..and this is my friend.." She stopped and looked up at him, he looked at her smirking. "yes, my friend Fitz." Sophie blushed and looked down. "Okay anyways. We think you are an elf. Yes that may sound crazy but it explains your talent and why you can understand us."
"You're confused," Flynn pointed to Sophie. "And you're jealous, and you are trying to understand if you can trust me or not."
Sophie's mouth dropped. He doesn't have two abilities. Is that possible? She transmitted to Fitz.
You do. You have, oh gosh how many now? Let's see, Telepathy, Teleporting, Inflicting, Enhancing, and you're a Polyglot.
Fine, whatever. But no one else I mean.
Not that I know of. Well then what do we do?
"Hello guys, can you please stop staring into each other's eyes and tell me what the heck is going on?" Flynn said.
"You're and elf, and we're taking you to the lost cities." Fitz said, not bothering to explain more. "I know this sounds crazy but you have to trust us okay? We don't know how you got here, or why we were sent here to look for someone like you, but you have to listen to us. Got it?" "Got it." Flynn said. Sophie looked up at him and smiled sadly.
"Do you have a family here?" She asked.
"No, they left me when I was little."
"Any friends?"
"Nope not really, everyone is either seriously freaked out by me, or like wants to be my best friend, but I wanna be a lone wolf. You know? Gotta fly solo."
"Oh okay..well...let's go then." Sophie grabbed hands with Fitz, and both of them went to grab Flynn's hand as well.
"Uh bro, I didn't sign up for the hand holding."
"This is how we leap," Fitz said and both of them went to grab his hand. He let them this time. They were standing in a circle in the middle of the sidewalk on Wall Street, and yet no one even cared that they all glittered away to the Elf Cities. Apparently, they were used to that kind of stuff.
