AN: This one-short came into my mind when I was listening to Robbie Williams & Nicole Kidman's "Something Stupid". Nothing here belongs to me except the idea!

I know I stand in line
Until you think you have the time
To spend an evening with me
And if we go someplace to dance
I know that there's a chance
You won't be leaving with me

Then afterwards we drop into a quiet little place
And have a drink or two
And then I go and spoil it all
By saying something stupid
Like I love you

I can see it in your eyes
That you despise the same old lines
You heard the night before
And though it's just a line to you
For me it's true
And never seemed so right before

I practice every day to find some clever
lines to say
To make the meaning come through
But then I think I'll wait until the evening
gets late
And I'm alone with you

The time is right
Your perfume fills my head
The stars get red
And oh the night's so blue
And then I go and spoil it all
By saying something stupid
Like I love you

~Something Stupid - Robbie Williams & Nicole Kidman~

I know he is attracted to me. I am, attracted to him too. The stifling of posture when one steps into the room, the subtle glances thrown towards each other's direction when we think no one is noticing. The occasional flip of my hair to attract his attention.

I couldn't remember who asked who first, but somehow we ended up having a firewhisky at Three Broomsticks. I enjoyed myself, he is intellectual, he is brilliant, he is sensitive, he is... sexy. God he drives me completely insane with his sexy lips, sharp features, onyx eyes, and even his seemingly greasy hair. My body and soul are burning up with desire for him. I need him, like now, but no I will not scare him away and miss my one and only chance with the love of my life. Yes, he is the love of my life.

It was getting late, and he suggested that we should go back to the castle. I reluctantly agreed, wondering if I would ever get a chance to go out with him again. It was a silent walk back to the castle. I would like to think that he was as reluctant to end the lovely night like me. How I wish it was a never-ending walk.

We reached the entrance, I caught his gentle glance on me while I was turning back to bid goodbye. I could not keep my feelings to myself any longer.

"Oh Severus! I love you!" There, I have done the deed. I couldn't bring myself to look into his eyes and could only stare nervously at the ground.

A finger touched my chin and brought my head up to see my favourite onyx eyes looking back at me with the most adoration and love I could ever imagine.

"I love you too, silly girl." He replied gently, and swiftly kissed me on my lips.

"Be mine, wouldn't you?"

I could only throw myself into his waiting arms.
