... I failed at trying to not upload a new story...but I like this premise much more than surprise visit from the future, sorry guys. I may or may not go back to that one, though if you want to, ask and you can adopt it.
Next update will be of huffles meta, sorry for the long wait.
I dont own RWBY
Credit for this idea goes to ManticoreBlues, truth is he wanted me to take my original story, the last wolf faunus and make it so Raven found Ruby instead of her aunt, as nice as that sounds...I have not even looked at that for so long that I'm lost. I've tried to read it and...yea my original format for writing hurt, so I'm starting up a whole new story. Sorry everyone, it was too good an idea to hold back like a few of my others.
Raven Branwen always treasured strength, to her the weak died and the strong survived. As she perched on a branch in her raven form watching her daughter play with her former lover she wanted to snort. 'I was right to give her up. She may be physically strong, but she lacks the willpower to do what's needed.' Granted Yang was still a little young, but Raven could tell that her heart was weak. Then a crying was heard and she swiveled her head and froze. There was Summer Rose cradling a tiny baby in a red cloak with the same eyes as hers. She took wing and gazed at the baby up close. She would've smiled if she could, looking into her eyes she saw what her daughter lacked.

That night she returned and gazed through the window as Summer put the girl down, "dont worry my little Ruby, my little Rose. Mummy will be just over with daddy. Just call out if you need me." She waited until all the lights in the house were out and transformed, where a raven once perched was a woman with long flowing Raven hair with red highlights. She drew her blade and popped the lock. Walking silently around the room she gathered a few items she would need. Then with a swing of her blade a portal opened and she picked the infant up, "I see much strength in you Little Rose, more than my daughter did when I first held her. Your coming with me." She stepped through the portal and walked to the gates of her home.
"Ma'am!" The guards stood straighter.
Raven glared, "from now on no slacking off on guard duty. This is my Daughter and Heir, Ruby Rose-Branwen. You are to treat her with respect she deserves."

The years flew by and Raven couldn't believe how right she was about Summers daughter.

Raven entered into her tent and noticed her Daughter lifting and swinging her practice sword with ease, but what surprised her was she had Ravens mask on and her long hair was done up in a bandanna just like hers was.
"Ruby! What do you think your doing?"
Ruby let out a small squeak in surprise, "sorry mama, I just wanna be like you."
Raven narrowed her eyes, "very well then my little Rose, I'll begin training you. But dont expect me to go easy on you, remember this always Ruby. The weak die and the strong survive."
yang age 7
Yang was furiously sending punches at her father, ever since her little sister had been kidnapped she dedicated herself to becoming stronger, even Summer gave her pointers now and then. Especially when she got back from Ozpins, she had just rejected a mission to stay close to home to look for her daughter.
Ruby age 10
Ruby was fighting a hoard of grimm with her mothers sparing sword, she was doing so well for awhile, until one of the last Beowolfs tackled her, he began to bite at her head but couldn't reach since Ruby held it back with her mother practice weapon.
She knew she wouldn't get help, even if her mother was watching in her bird for right now, images flashed through her head all of her and her mother sparring, and everyone of them ended with her laid out.
Her mothers sword pointed at her throat, "the weak die and the strong survive Ruby. Always remember that."
Several more scenes with the same mantra scenes over and over again.
Raven watched from her perch as her daughter was restrained with curiosity, 'are you strong enough to survive?'
However she nearly fell off her branch as her daughter shouted, "I am not weak!" A flurry of raven feathers danced around her and time seemed to slow down around her. To Ravens eyes it seemed like she was moving at a speed beyond anything she had seen before, but the Beowulf was moving at a slow speed, before she could even blink the Beowulf's head parted with the body.
Raven flew down and landed after transforming, "well done Ruby, you've unlocked your semblance."
Ruby tilted her head,"semblance?"
Raven nodded, "yes, your semblance seems to be time. It's the rarest and most sought after semblance."
Ruby nodded, her mother had told her she took her and raised her since she saw strength in her she hadn't seen in her birth family.
yang age 12
Yang was walking down the halls of signal accadamy, but she saw her best friend pinned to a wall by the biggest bully in school. She rushed forward and punched the guy in the face, however he just shrugged it off and punched her back. But she didn't even flinch, as she turned back they both saw blood red eyes and her hair caught fire. With a scream her punch connected and the bully went flying through the wall.

Ruby leapt off the bulkhead that was just landing in vale, she didn't exactly have a ticket. It was night so she dawned the masked her mother gave her and activated her semblance, adjusting time just enough that it looked like she had speed for a semblance, and made a mad dash for the nearest dust shop, from dust to dawn. She was set to steal the dust for her tribe as they were running low. Ravens talon (its the name for her weapon, it's an exact copy of Ravens weapon, of which I have no idea what its called.) was secured to her hip. Reaching up and tying her hair up in the bandanna that her mother had given her and just like she did, entered the store.
Only to find it already being robbed.
Every goon with a red blade ran up to her, "alright kid, put your hands up."
The room filled with Raven feathers and Roman looked out the window to see all of his henchmen dead, or close too. Sighing he walked out and dropped his cigar, "well red, I think it's been an eventful evening. But as much as I'd like to stay and chat, I really need to be going." He lifted his cane and flipped the crosshairs. A red flare like shot came out but with a swing of her blade the explosion sounded early. This did not save her mask however, as the left half shattered. In a flurry of raven feathers she ran up the wall and landed on the roof.
"Persistent." He climbed on the bulkhead that had just appeared and pulled a red dust crystal out, "end of the line red!" He threw the crystal but never got the chance to shoot it like he was planning as with a swing of her sword a red beam emitted from her sword and blew up the crystal mid flight.
Then a blonde woman showed up and began blasting the ship, at least until a woman came out and began manipulating fire. Ruby narrowed her eyes 'shes a maiden just like mom.' Sheathing her blade the sheath rotated and she pulled out a yellow blade this time and began sending arcs of lightning toward the ship. However before she could get anything done, the ship flew off.

Ruby was sitting in an interrogation room listening to the blonde bitch and moan about actions leading to consequences and how she could've not killed those men.
Glynda huffed as she clearly saw the girl wasnt paying attention through the half of the mask that shattered in the fight. "If it were up to me, you'd be sent home with a pat on the back, and a slap on the wrist." She slammed her crop down but was amazed as The girl casually lifted her feet and crossed them over her crop.
Ozpin entered the room to a sight he had thought hed never see, Glynda red with anger as a little girl held her weapon pinned on the table. "Now now ladies, do try to get along right now." He said as he slid the plate of cookies towards the girl and she shrugged and let go of the crop, but didn't even touch the cookies. "In all my research I haven't found a single file on you in any of the schools, care to tell me how you learned to fight like this?"
Ruby looked at the tablet and saw herself, red blade cutting down all of the goons. "You wouldn't find me in any school anyway, my mother personally taught me how to fight. She deemed me worthy enough with a blade to help me make a new version of her weapon."
Ozpin sat back and took the girl in, she had a long black sleeve shirt with red armguards on her wrists. Her black pants were a bit bulky, signifying armor sewed into the material. Long raven hair that ended in red tips that ran down her back and ended just before her butt, but most noticeably her silver eye gazing at her with trepidation and caution, she even had a bust that made even him look twice, "What's your name?"
Ruby sighed and reached up to take off the shattered mask, "Ruby."
Ozpins breath caught and his gaze drifted to the red pins on her black cloak, a rose flower encased in a right eye that had a clock on top of the rose and wings spreading out of it. A perfect fusion of two symbols. "Ruby Rose. Your parents and uncle have been looking for you for a very long time." 'She looks more like Raven then Summer.'
Ruby's gaze hardened, "Ruby Rose-Branwen, if you must use my full name."
"Do you know who I am?"
Ruby shrugged, "personally? No. But mother respects strength, and even though she hates you she has taught me the name of the strongest hunter right now Ozpin."
Ozpin sat back, "yes, Raven always saw strength as a deciding factor. You have two choices Ruby, either you go to a cell tonight for murder." Ruby snorted and shook her head 'like I'd stay there for long.' "Or you can be cleared of all charges and come to my school."
Ruby narrowed her eyes. Her mother was trained at this school. She didn't trust Ozpin farther than she could throw him, but..."fine. But, I dont wear uniforms. Mother says it's a way to indoctrinate young minds, everyone looking the same."
Ozpin eyed the girl, "very well. Welcome to beacon."
After retrieving her sword she pulled her scroll out and activated the scan. "Tch. Bugged." She tossed it and pulled the spare one she kept in her bra and dialed the only number in it.
"Ruby. What's going on? Why are you calling from your back up phone?"
"Sorry mother. When I got to the dust store, it was already being robbed. Ended up in a fight and arrested by Glynda goodwitch. Ozpin forced me to join his school."
Her mother eyed her, "the people you fought?"
"Dead, except for Torchwick. Guy used several explosions to get away from me. Shattered the mask you gave me unfortunately."
Raven nodded, "very well. Dont trust Ozpin, Ruby. But I did got to school there, it will make you stronger."
Ruby nodded, "there's also another you know what here mother."
Ravens eyes visibly widened, "get it. No matter what Ruby. I will train you how to use it."
Ruby nodded, "of course mother."
00000000000000000000000
Ruby flashed her scroll holding her ticket and boarded the bulkhead. She looked around and met lilac eyes, but it was her face that made her sputter, "Yang. My sister." She muttered.
Yang couldn't believe it, she might've been looking in the mirror had this girl not had dark hair. Quickly taking her scroll out and snapping a picture she sent it to her mother. That's as far as she got however because a blond boy puked all over her shoes.
0000000000
As the bulkhead landed she walked out and looked around. She walked towards the auditorium. Ozpin said some speach about honing there skills. Glynda said they would sleep in the ballroom, Ruby wasnt really listening.
Walking into the ballroom she noticed that the room was divided between gender lines and she snorted at that, "what is this? Grade four?" She leapt up to the rafters and pulled her mom's old cloak out and wrapped it around her instead of using one of the sleeping bags provided.
0000000000000
Yang sat there looking up at her sister idly noticing that she was in a position where nobody could sneak up on her. She got up and wandered to the balcony when her phone rang.
Opening it up she had to hold it away from her ear, "YANG WHERE DID YOU TAKE THIS PICTURE?!" Summers voice shouted.
"Jeez mom. Take It down a few notches. I took it on the bulkhead. Figured it was interesting that we look so alike."
A sigh sounded, "Yang. Even with how much shes changed I'd recognize that girl anywhere. That my daughter and your sister Ruby."
Yang gasped, "isnt she like fifteen now? What's she doing in beacon?"
News report said she stopped a robbery and Ozpin took an interest in her skills. Listen sweetheart. Judging from the weapon, and the way she holds herself and her hair...she was raised by your birth mother. Be careful, If shes anything like Raven she wont show mercy."
Yang nodded, "alright. Doesnt mean I wont ask her about my mother though."
Summer sighed, "just be careful. I'm on my way out on the first bulkhead I can get, keep an eye on my little rose for me please?"
"Right." Heading back inside she looked up to her sisters spot and found it to be empty,
"looking for the girl in the rafters?" She turned and lilac met blue. She nodded, "I believe she went to take a shower. All that hair, which you both share by the way, must take some time to wash."
Yang snorted, "you have no idea, and her hair is silkier than mine even. Yang Xiao-Long." She held her hand out.
The girl looked at the offered hand, "Weiss Schnee." She walked off to join a girl who looked exactly like her with shorter hair.

So Ruby will look a lot like Raven in this story
Yes, if you didn't notice, I de aged Winter, in this story shes Weiss's twin. I dont know where it came from but...well I like the idea so I went with it. Since she has a twin sister, while Weiss may still be fridged, she wont be a bitch right out of the gate. Especially around winter.
I let summer live because I feel she would look for Ruby instead of running off on suicide missions.
Let me know what you think
