Brookes POV

After talking to Peyton down underneath the old bridge Brooke felt guilty for how she treated her lately. Then at the same time she felt like she shouldnt be feeling guilty, she was the one who ruined it. But then again Brooke had said some things way out of line, ecspecially the comment about Peytons mom on the way to the championship.

Brooke was now seeing how much Lucas really meant to Peyton, and she was slowly beginning to accept it. She knew that hers and Peytons friendship had been sacred and it would have to take someone just as sacred to Peyton to hurt Brooke.

Brooke still loved Peyton but knew there friendship would and could never be the same as what it was. She slid her shoes on and grabbed a light hoodie going outside to go see Lucas.

Peytons POV

Peyton layed on her bed staring at the ceiling and thinking of what Brooke had said earlier about them never getting their friendship back to the way it was. Peyton figured she would never be able to get it back from Brooke, as much as she did want it.She missed Brooke. She blamed some of this on Brooke at times for being so blind in the beginning and not seeing that Peyton was obviously falling for Lucas. But Peyton knew if wasnt Brookes fault it was hers for doing what she did. Brooke had forgiven her once and Peyton should have known better and to learn but she couldnt help how she felt for Lucas and still couldnt.

She knew that Brooke was slowly accepting Peyton and Lucas but she wanted Brooke back as her bestfriend. Peyton slipped on her shoes and went out the door to go see Haley.

Hospital

Peyton walked into Haleys hospital room making her way to her and turning off her tv.

Brooke walked into Lucas's hospital room breathing in and out for relief, she slowly walked over to his unconsious body and turned his tv off.

"Look, I know you've got a lot going on right now, and just so you know, Karen is a mess." Brooke said to Lucas.

"Nathan's a mess. But you got to wake up soon. 'Cause I need you to take care of Brooke." Peyton said to Haley.

"You've got to wake up soon because I need you to take care of Peyton." Brooke said to Lucas.

"I just...I can't do it anymore. And it's not like we can leave her with Rachel." Peyton said to Haley on the verge of tears.

"Besides, you're really good for her." Brooke said to Lucas.

"And I'm not sure she can find her way without you." Peyton said to Haley.

"What do you say? How about you wake up and help her out?" Brooke said to Lucas.

"Oh, and could you not tell her we had this conversation? Thanks." Brooke and Peyton.
