The Masters had told them that the war was over, that General Grievous had been killed. Master Ti had been worried though. All of the Masters were worried. They had put the temple on high alert. Fear spread through the Temple. There was an ominous feeling in the Force. It was like looking at a hole in the rock and not needing to stick your hand down it to know there was a Fleek Eel inside.

Then the clones had come.

It was chaos. Some tried to stay and fight. Others fled. Zett knew that he should just try to get out, but something stopped him. He felt pulled to the upper levels of the Temple. Hoping that the Force had some plan for him when he got there, he had carefully made his way up.

He was very close now, he could see the night sky. There was a speeder parked on the landing platform, but there were more clones out there as well. Who was that speaking to the clones? Zett leaned forward slightly from his crouched position. He recognized the man's face from the holonet. Was he a senator? Regardless, the Force seemed to be pushing Zett towards him. Was he supposed to escape with him? Could he make it to the speeder without the clones noticing?

The senator turned his back to the clones, and there was an abrupt shift in the Force. The senator's life was in danger! The clones were going to shoot him. Go! The Force commanded. A lump formed in Zett's throat as he realized that the Force's plan for him did not include escape. He had been brought to this place not to live, but to die in exchange for the life of a senator.

Zett hesitated. If he let the clones kill the senator, he would have time to escape. He could live. But- there was something about this senator. Through the Force Zett could see that this man had to live. The Force had some great plan and Zett knew that he could not let him be killed.

Tears stung Zett's eyes as he activated his lightsaber. He did not want to die, but he knew what he had to do. He flipped high over the clones heads and struck down one, two, three, of them. Zett could feel the panic coming off the senator in waves as he crouched behind his ship, unsure of what to do. Zett continued cutting down clones, hoping that the senator would just leave. There was no point in both of them dying.

A blaster bolt struck Zett's shoulder. His vision blurred with pain. He felt another bolt hit his stomach and heard the senator scream as he fell. From the ground Zett looked out over Coruscant's twinkling skyline. A hail of blaster bolts hit him, and then there was nothing.
