Ch.1 After math

It was a large, powerful thunderstorm that night. You could hear the gods's scream; echoing in the darkness. The rain pelted the earth, like a loving mother that had witnessed the gruesome death of her only child. The lightening zigg-zagged across the sky, setting it ablaze in its path. All of which were true for a girl in tattered, bloody, soaken wet, and muddy, black t-shirt and Jeans, with black knee-high boots, raven black hair, wild fire-like eyes, and velvet black wolf ears on her head.

She was running as hard and as fast as her legs could carry her. In fact, that was the reason why her clothes were that way; for she thought she saw HIM!

Her mind bitched at her, screaming, "No, it isn't him. It can't be him! He's dead; he drowned, remember? Even if it was him, he wouldn't recognize you!"

Her heart disagreed, "It is him! He's still alive!"

After hours of running through the woods, she started to come to a slow walk. The air suddenly became cold. The white whisps of steam that slid out of her mouth and nostrils faded quickly into the otherwise colorless night. Her eyes widened in horror; it was just as she feared! "N-no...Jason...onii-chan!" Her onii-chan, her big brother, was dead.

She fell to her knees. The mud squished sickly under her weight. She looked up to the storm clouds up above and whispered sadly, "No fair, sky. I'm the one who feels like crying." She laid her head down on Jason's tattered shirt and curled the rest of her body into a tight ball. She could not feel any physical pain, if only at the moment;however, she could only feel her heart breaking-- no, for lack of a better word, shattering. If anyone told her that "it's not real," she would still have tears to prove it.
