So... Abby fascinates me. You might have noticed. One-shot, pre-series.
Drop.
Drop.

Abby had never been afraid of the sight of blood, no, the red liquid circulating the body thanks to the beatings of the heart, why would it be frightening? As a child, these things, the nature, biology, how it all worked, it had always interested her. She had been number one in her biology class.

She stared at the mirror, the smooth glass, the golden frame, the interior of the room that could be seen in the reflection. The one thing, the thing that took up the better part of the reflection, the redheaded woman standing before the mirror, was what she avoided to look at.

It did not hurt. The wounds on her slim body and the way the blood in them flowed in sync with the strong beatings of her heart did not hurt. She could feel them, could feel the soreness and the blood but there was no pain. She was too busy processing it all, to busy with the feelings that were running through her head, that were rushing to the right, to the left, leaving her confused beyond words. Her eyes were dry and her face was blank, eyes big and empty whilst her pink lips delicately formed an 'O'. If spotting her, one might think she was a procelain doll. A broken porcelain doll.
Drop.
Drop.
Abby focused on her body and saw the bruises and the marks and the wounds and her dishevelled hair but she could not see.
Drop. Drop.
She picked up her phone and pressed speed dial, her hand gripping the cell phone hard. (There was blood on her hands, and it would definitely leave marks.)
Beep. (Drop.) Beep. (Drop.) Beep.
"Hello?" someone picked up.
"Liv?" her hoarse voice whispered and finally, as she stood before the living room mirror, did she manage to look at herself and see something. She had to examine her body, did she not? Survey the damage? Report to Olivia? But, as her eyes trailed over the slim figure, as they settled on different outstanding signs and marks of what had just happened to her, all she could see was red.
"Abby?"
Drop. Drop. Drop.
