I'm just thinking that I shant yield,
to the other members of my school.
As I walk out onto the field,
I can only hope I don't look a fool.

I shall never allow,
Cedric to win without a chase.
But I seem to foget just for now,
as the wind rushes past my face.

I stop my Nimbus 2000,
well above the game.
I catch the snitch as planned,
adding even more to my unwanted fame.

I see a flash of gold,
glint around my head.
Suddenly I stop cold,
a sight filling me with dread.

A dementor stands below me,
causing my mind to shift.
Just before she becomes debris,
she runs before me, swift.

Cedric rushes ahead,
I'm to go unnoticed for now.
I'm sure that I would have fled,
if I were to know how.

A dementor is behind this,
of that I have no doubt.
But as I fade into the abyss,
that knowledge I could do without.
