Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Action Chronicles
Episode #1: "The Next Duelist"
The night air was thin as Yugi and Kaiba roamed the streets, heading for the town of Saldanha, awaiting to be introduced to new duelists. They had spent days anticipating their travel and had been prepared weeks before. When they got there, Yugi and Kaiba were talking to an instructor and saw a duelist that looked aggressive. The two just looked at the duelist wonderingly.
"Did you see that guy?" Yugi asked.
"Yeah, he looked kind of suspisious," Kaiba replied.
The duelist was fairly tall, with spikey brown hair and cold gray eyes. Dressed casually, he wore a heavy sweatshirt with jeans and thick black gloves with digits incredibly long. The duelist walked over and said, "So I heard I will be challenging one of you later on. My name is Roawde."
Yugi nodded and in a firm tone replied, "This is Kaiba and I'm Yugi." The two wondered who would duel Roawde. It finally came the time to duel. They both had all their cards. Roawde announced, "You both shall challenge me at once." "What is he doing? He doesn't stand a chance against us," Yugi whispered.
"It seems weird that someone would duel against two people," Kaiba replied.
"You are about to enter a rude awakening, Roawde," Yugi announced.
"We'll see about that," Roawde replied. The duel began. Roawde had laid a Deep Sea Warrior down. Yugi laid a Curse of Dragon. Roawde's monster was destroyed. Eventually all of Roawde's monsters were destroyed. Roawde became very angry.
"Well it looks like we won, Roawde!" Kaiba said with a smile.
"Oh we'll see," Roawde simply replied. Suddenly, Roawde's eyes became red and sharp tallons shot out of his thick gloves. His upper body strength grew and his teeth began to sharpen.
Yugi and Kaiba stared as Roawde began to transform, dumbstruck. "Oh my God!" Yugi shouted as Roawde began to grow. "He's a monster himself!"
