Resident Evil 5: Forced Evolution
Prologue: Blackened Sky
It was raining, not unusual for Ohio. The fact that there had been a heat wave as of late was comforting to the quiet little suburb. What the townspeople didn't know was that this wasn't rain at all; it was Uruboros.
Agents of the BSAA Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar had failed to stop Albert Wesker. The result: Wesker succeeded in saturating the Earths atmosphere with the parasitic virus.
The clouds were congregating overhead. The children had been looking forward to the next rainfall and ran outside in their swimsuits to run and play as young ones do.
Then the first drops of "rain" began to fall, it had a thicker consistency than rain and was a sickening shade of black. It hit the pavement with a sickening splat.
It took the children about 5 seconds to realize that this wasn't rain. A strange sight met their youthful eyes. The sick mockery of rain was gathering and forming into what looked like large black worms or small black snakes, they began making their way towards the children. Some of the rain landed on the heads of the unfortunate children.
The children then made the horrible mistake of stepping closer to the seething masses of malicious virus known as Uruboros. As one the worms pounced. The parents suddenly alarmed at the resulting screams of terror, they opened the door to a mortifying scene.
The children were indistinguishable, that's how completely covered they were in the virus. Uruboros ravaged the bodies of the children, burrowing into their flesh, eyes, noses, mouths and any orifice the virus could find. Some parents ran up to the children and tore at the worms, only to be overwhelmed themselves. Some parents closed the door in shock of what they just saw, that couldn't be real, there was no way in heaven, earth or hell that was possible. The "rain" was really starting to pick up now, a vicious downpour from which there was no escape. Those whom had chosen to shut themselves in were spared the sight of the dead bodies being pulled together into something much, much more horrendous. The many had become one, and they hungered. From the memories of the recently deceased they gathered that the strange buildings were what housed these creatures. They neared the first one and forced their way in, devouring the inhabitants.
That night there were many screams.
