She had always wondered what was wrong with her, why strange things seemed to happen, why she could do certain things, and most of all why she was so different, but she never thought it would be this. No never something like this. She stood in front of her bathroom mirror, watching the blood ooze from her eye, except, it wasn't exactly blood, blood wasn't green, blood didn't shine this way, and it didn't smell this way, and it most certainly did not come out of your eye like tears. No, this was something strange and unnatural. She lifted her hand ever so slightly moving to touch the river falling from her eye, when a voice made her pause.
"You are not alone, there are ones like you. I am one of them."
She turned around slowly, cautious and scared, and she saw the source of the voice echoing in her mind, a man, bald and wheelchair bound, was in her room, he extended her arm and spoke again, this time from his mouth.
"Come with me, you will be safe I promise you." She slowly nodded, not trusting herself to speak.
