Hatake Kakashi was gay.
Or maybe he was just a bigger pervert that everyone thought, because even Naruto attracted him a little. Very little. Nevertheless boys turned him on, not girls. With this information in mind he had to conclude that he was gay.
So then why did he stare at Sasuke for a max. of 20 seconds, then look right past him to Hyuuga Hinata? At this time of day she went shopping every week. Kakashi watched her until she disappeared from his sight. And at least 20 seconds after. Somehow his students never seemed to notice a thing.
Why, when her cousin (who appeared to have a thing for her) got a little to close to her, did he have to clench his fists against the need to beat him to a bloody pulp?
Hatake Kakashi was just a little too overprotective of a virtually defenseless child.
That had to be it. He saw someone much younger and much weaker than himself and had an urge to protect. He decided to be a father figure to her. . . He went so far as to know what she was doing and where she was going at all times. Now his team began to notice that their sensei had suddenly become very busy.
So why, when one day she pulled him aside to tell him "something important" did his heart race a million mile an hour?
Why, when she blushed the brightest red he'd ever seen, did he have no choice but to crush his mouth to hers and hold her as tightly as possible?
Why was he, at this very moment, in his apartment thrusting into her tight, hot clasp as if he's die if he didn't?
As she came, causing him to come as well, in the most devastating climax of his life, he had a realization:
He wasn't gay.
He wasn't an extremely overprotective father figure.
He was straight and irrevocably in love with Hyuuga Hinata.
It was yet another mechanism to protect her. Although Kanoha was pretty loose on the relationships of others (mostly because leaders didn't wish to fight other nin over something as intimate as who they chose to love: that would be a fight.), it still wasn't acceptable for someone to date another person almost ten years their senior.
Yet, Kakashi vowed to himself that he'd do anything to keep her safely wrapped in his arms. To her sleeping form he whispered, "I love you, my chou1 "
She rolled over to face him smiling at his surprised expression. "I know. I love you too, Kakashi. I also know that you were stalking me." He pouted a little.
"I wasn't stalking... I was protecting." Hinata giggled.
"Call it what you want, but you should do it a little more inconspicuously. You know you're not doing a very good job 'protecting' when the target hears you growl every time she comes within 5 feet of another guy." She laughed again.
His expression was shocked but quickly turned mischievous. He pounced on her. "Maybe the protector will just have to mark the target instead." She moaned loudly as he went for her neck.
Wow. I like it but it turned out pretty similar to another of my stories. Aaaug!! that's annoying!!!
