They all companied about pain but only Dylan and Evan know about true pain. Evan knew about Dylan's pain from his family. Dylan abused by his mom and molested by his dad felt pain by 7.

Evan was the only Goth that knew from one night when he was at Dylan's and saw his mother hit and his father pull him into a room for while before coming out with burses on his arms and legs. Evan never told nor did Dylan.

The other Goths wondered if Dylan was abused but never asked. Though after Dylan started fighting back and being hurt more, Evan put a stop to it.

He pulled Dylan aside one day and said, "Dylan you need to get away from them, tell somebody, live with me, either way we can't let you live like this is nothing."

Dylan finally agreed and they turned to the other Goth's for help. Henrietta was the first to help them and they reported Dylan's parents to the police and Dylan stayed with Evan.

The two grew closer and shortly after Dylan was living with Evan he found himself entranced by the taller Goth. Soon the two came out to the fellow Goths. Accepted rather than openly the two would never act lovely dovey to others.

In fact it was hard to tell they were together other than one would steal a smoke off the others cigarette or drink from the others coffee. Yet somehow the pain from Dylan's past brought them closer. Soon the two didn't remember their pain from the past only the pain of the present and what would be of the future.
