A piercing sound rings through the old cottage as a young child draws his bow against the violin in his arms. His teeth piercing his bottom lip as he tries to get a clean note out. His golden hair shimmering in the setting sun as a soft breeze floats through the open window. He tosses his instrument to the side as he sits on the floor pouting.

"I'll never play like Big Brother," the boy huffs as he glares at his violin.

'Not with that attitude, Alfred," a soprano voice declares as a young girl with blond hair with some brown streaks in it. Her sea green eyes twinkle as she smiles at Alfred. "How is my little boy?"

"I'm not little, Ginny," Alfred growls at the girl at the window as another girl pops up behind her.

"Liebe, you are smaller than most of us," a young girl with silver hair answers with a smirk. "And we are states."

"What am I mommy?" Alfred ask Ginny.

"Why must you people tell him my nickname that you gave me?" Ginny hiss at the other girl. "What did you have to say for yourself, Penny?"

"You did appear first and started to take care of the rest of us," Penny shrugs.

"When can I meet the rest of them?" Alfred hugs his rabbit that jump into his lap.

"One day when England is nearby," Ginny cuts off Penny's answer as she opens her mouth. "Right now, we are trying to found your siblings."

"Oh, okay." Alfred smiles as he yawns. Rubbing his eyes, he watches Ginny whisper Penny before looking at Alfred.

"Looks like someone is tired," Ginny smiles as Alfred shakes his head. "Do you want me to sing for you?"

"Yes, mommy," Alfred nods and smiles as Ginny huffs lightly with a grin.

Ginny climbs through the window and summons a pillow and blanket from the other room. She lays the blanket down and pats the spot. Alfred smiles as he lays down beside her. He cuddles his rabbit as Ginny combs through his hair with her fingers. She looks to the sky as she begins to sing.

'Roses whisper good night 'neath silv'ry light
Asleep in the dew they hide from our view
When the dawn peepeth through God will wake them and you
When the dawn peepeth through God will wake them and you

Slumber sweetly my dear for the angels are near
To watch over you the silent night through
And to bear you above to the dreamland of love
And to bear you above to the dreamland of love'

(Brahms Lullaby)

Penny and Ginny lightly places a kiss on his forehead as they tuck him under an extra blanket that they carried around. They smile as he sighs softly and rolls over as they sneak out the window.

"Why didn't you tell him who he is to us yet?" Penny watches as Ginny looks to the ocean as they walk the beaches nearby.

"A war is coming sister," Ginny pauses as she takes a deep breath in. She stares into Penny's eyes as lighting flashes in the sky. Making her eyes glow, she frowns sadly. "Alfred will be the one all the nations will have to see, not the states. England does not realize Alfred is not a nation but a capitol. We have no nation when we are the United States of America."
