She never thought about the source of her undying, unconditional love and loyalty to Raito.
Raito would never grasp the greater destiny he had set up for himself until the time came for him to awaken.
L realized he could only chain himself to his certain death, and stall for only a few precious moments.
In the end, they were all just players in Raito's game. L would die, Misa would forever be a tool, and Raito sought divinity through the dangerous games of his own.
Whoever the fake Kiras were now, they were hardly anything to worry about once the true Kira came again. He was asleep now, but even now, the dangers he had set off were both astounding and all to familiar foreshadowing of a future L would no longer be apart of.
