I saw a Sam/Dean/Cas video to the song "Fix you" and I was inspired. This was written after the season 8 finale. Enjoy!
What it means
This is the story of Sam and Dean Winchester. This is a story of love, of loyalty, of faith. This is also a story of pain, of loss, of betrayal, and of doubt. This is the story that shows that pain may make us who we are, but that no matter what, we will always, always come back together. This is the story that proves that no matter the circumstances, no matter the hardships or the doubts, Sam and Dean Winchester will always be there for each other. They have and will always try to fix each other. They hold each other up and would do anything for the other. They have laughed together, cried together, watched each other die, helped each other when hell just became too much. And they met an angel, a beautiful angel who can think for himself, who, though it took him some time, understands loyalty and friendship and just how important it is. An angel who defied heaven to save them, an angel with more humanity than most people on earth. And they met a demon too. A demon, who, first an enemy, later became a friend who died for them. Even the most hopeless circumstances can be fought through, and even the best situations can go sour. Loyalty and betrayal don't always apply only to the good guys. But it is Sam and Dean, and Cas and even Meg who are the ultimate show of loyalty, even if it means betraying one another to prove it, even if it means doing something so completely against everything the others think is right. Because this story isn't about stopping the apocalypse or playing with destiny. It isn't about hunting down evil creatures or demons and shutting them all in hell. It isn't even about constantly saving each other's lives. It's a whole lot bigger than that. This story is about supporting each other, and standing by each other through everything no matter what the other does. It's about helping one another see sense when they get a little off-task. It's about pain and loss molding us into who we are just as much as loyalty and faith. This story is about unconditional love, and that means pain and loss and betrayal, and faith. Faith that the one that went a little wrong will bounce back, will not abandon the others forever, will always, always return, because that is what unconditional love means. Pain and loss, betrayal and heartbreak define us just as much as love and loyalty and faith. And that is what this story is about. Because in the end, no matter what, those two brothers and the fallen angel that's risen higher than anyone will return to one another, having finally learned that they must do anything and everything together or not at all.
Not exactly a story, more like my thoughts on it, but… what do you think? Please review and thanks for reading!
