A/N: Another short fic, I hope you like it.
Buneary sighed, her legs dangling off the edge of the cliff. Nobody had remembered, did they even care? Nobody had even come for her since she ran off. Buneary normally wasn't self centered, but her birthday was important, and she didn't think she was wrong to be upset.
"Buneary?" A voice off towards the forest said. Buneary sighed again, not feeling better, despite the fact that somebody had come for her. "Buneary?" it asked again. Buneary could hear a rustling at the tree line behind her. "Buneary!" It said again. She could hear it approaching.
"Hello Pikachu…" She replied, slowly.
"Buneary! Are you okay? What's wrong?" Pikachu asked. He hadn't remembered either, it seemed.
"Nothing, nothing's wrong." She snapped, turning away from Pikachu.
"Buneary…" Pikachu said, sitting down next to her. Buneary shied away from him. "Please, I want to help…"
"Nothing! Nothing's wrong! I'm fine! Perfectly… happy…" Buneary shouted at Pikachu, tearing up near the end of her outburst. Pikachu inched closer to her.
"Well, I'm not sure… but I'm never really sure about anything… anyway, I brought you this, hoping it would cheer you up…" Pikachu said, putting his tail around Buneary, who simply turned away from his tail and him. "Happy birthday, Buneary." Buneary blinked as something jingled on Pikachu's tail. She turned her head and saw, on his tail, a small necklace, just the size for her. Her eyes teared up more.
"Pikachu…" Buneary said, sobbing slightly.
"W-what's wrong? Don't you like it?" Pikachu asked.
"I… I do… it's wonderful… it's just that… I thought nobody had remembered my birthday… I'm so glad you did…" She said, smiling through her tears.
"Well of course I'd remember! How could I forget?" Pikachu said, standing up. "Now come on, we've got a party to throw."
