*Sigh* there is no excuse for not posting for three days…except that I've been visiting my grandparents. Well, anyway, here's my next poem. I'll be posting another one sometime today!
My Entire Life
I have waited for you my entire life,
And seeing you taken has cut me like a knife.
I had hoped that you would always stay safe,
Since I have waited for you my entire life.
I know I should have fought,
Though I definitely would have been caught,
For he is much bigger that I
And I wouldn't have been able to stand to see you cry,
If I had gotten hurt.
And besides…I did try.
But now, I feel the power,
And no longer does he tower,
Over me.
For you have lent me strength,
And as you can see,
I have grown in length,
And in power.
And all because,
I can't see you hurt,
Because I have waited for you,
My entire life.
