The Truth Is Out

Harry James Potter sighed deeply, his cold, trembling body moving up and down with every breath he took. The scars on his face slowly starting to bleed, he adjusted his glasses. Keeping his wand on the dark, haunting figure that haunted his dreams every night, the eyes he shared with his mother slowly swiveled past the cracked, boarded up windows and the 1 legged chair to his friend.

His eyebrows bunched up, his eyes slits, his scarred hands desperately scrabbling for his wand and Scabbers at the same time, Ronald Bilius Weasley could not have been in a more complicated situation, the face he had seen stuck on every shop window he had passed was staring right back at him. He averted his gawk and looked down. His leg was a bloody mess with the white as chalk bone protruding from the serrated flesh. Then he looked at the face of the teacher he had trusted with his life, but who was now just another traitor.

Remus John Lupin's normally cheerful, round face was now a gaunt pale skeleton outline, his eyes swimming with the ghosts of the past. Then they changed slowly. Now his stare turned to the boy who lived, his eyes desperately willing Harry not to do what he supposed Harry would do. His lips tightened.

Hermione Jean Granger, the only female in the room was the most calm, her face determined to solve the problem. The deep gashes in her cheek, taking away more and more of her beauty every time, were starting to dry. Her face frowned and she gasped as she figured out what had happened. She started shivering.

Sirius Black, the prisoner who had not seen daylight for 12 years, now a dark blur, was shaking, beads of sweat appearing on his moustache. His ragged clothes, his only clothes, hung loosely on his 'all skin and bone' body. The tangled, bushy hair that was taking over his head had his hands running through it.

"It's time Harry." The man's voice sounded as dark and as unused as the man looked.

"What is it time for?" Harry croaked.

"The truth. It's time to know what really happened 12 years ago"
