Cacoon bounced up and down on her swiss chees-like hooves. "Let's go!" She whined, excited. Chrysalis looked at the princess. "Patience, my apprentice." She smirked. "Good things come to those who wait." Regardless, Cacoon was still excited. "OK come on." They transformed into beetles. They flew into a small town. "I trust you. Let's split up." Chrysalis yelled over the wind. Cacoon nodded. She veered away and found a little filly. She was a tannish yellow color with pink mane and with an abnormally large lighter pink bow on her hair. Cacoon searched her mind to find a pony this filly loved and found an adult earth pony with an orange coat, blonde mane, and a cowboy hat. She quickly changed and walked up. "You got a lot of nerve!" The filly shouted. Cacoon panicked, did this pony know? "What do you mean?" "We fight and then you show up like nothing happened!" Cacoon felt a rush of warm air andcher body morphed. The wave of anger had caused an unexpected change to her real self. Then the filly screamed. "IT'S CHRYSALIS!" She backed away. "No I-" the mare Cacoon had posed as galloped stood in front of the filly. "Chrysalis! Back away from my sister!" Cacoon backed off. "I'm not-" the mare looked annoyed. She took off with her sister shouting "Everyone hide! Twilight!" Cacoon looked around. The once bustling town square looked like a ghost town. She heard a noise behind her. She turned to see Chrysalis, who was not happy.
"YOU FOOL! THEY WILL BE ON ALERT NOW!" Chrysalis boomed. The second they had gotten to the hive she started pounding her. "Chrysalis I-" she was cut off. "Never call me that. I am your MOTHER! Do. You. Hear. Me?!" Cacoon did not shrink back. "Yes ma'am." "GO TO YOUR ROOM!" Cacoon flew off. She didn't care anymore. As she flew down the networks of tunnels and bends she levitated her crown off and threw it to the ground, letting it hit with all the force of her anger. She continued on. She heard a noise behind her. A nurse Changeling flew after her. "Princess! You dropped this." She held the crown. Cacoon shook her head. "Thank you but keep it." She turned and flew away
Cacoon lay in her room. Why were they scared of her? She only did what had to be done. She needed food. She didn't understand why they hated her. She got up and looked at her reflection. Just like her mom. The long, stringy blue hair, jet black body, holes riddling her. Then she realized that, to a pony, she looked unusual and even, terrifying. She looked away. The realization struck her, she was a monster, a horrible creature in a story ponies told foals to scare them into behaving. She turned away and the mirror cracked. She lay on her bed but sleep did not come to her that night.

Cacoon felt the love flow from the small white filly with a pink and purple pink mane. She was posing as as a white pony with a curly purple mane. She sucked in the delicious love. "Wow Rarity, you've been so busy lately with designing the dress for Twilight's wedding, I didn't think you had time for your little sister anymore." Cacoon smiled and in that nauseating accent, said "Of course dear, I always have time for you." The filly smiled. "I'm meeting with the girls at sugar cube corner, can I go?" Cacoon nodded, she'd had her fill. She turned and left. When she was out of sight she morphed into herself. She felt horrible, she always did. She heard a gasp behind her. A mare stood there. An alicorn. "Chrysalis! How dare you come here!" She charged her horn but Cacoon backed away "No I-I'm not her! I swear!" The alicorn backed off. She spotted the crown on I her head. "An heir..." She flapped her wings and with a mighty gust of wind that knocked Cacoon back. She a sighed and as she looked at her black coat she made a decision. She would not be compared to her mother again.
Twilight ran up to the door of Applejack's house. She hit it urgently with her hoof. "AJ! AJ!" She shouted. Applejack opened the door. "Wow, now Twilight slow down. What happened?" Twilight gasped. "Chrysalis...has...an heir." AJ jumped back. "But she has thousands of children, of course she has an heir." Twilight shook her head "No, this is different she looks just like Chrysalis and I think she's the favorite somehow! Get the girls! Now! Meet me at the castle!" She galloped off and flapped her wings as she ran to gain momentum. She took to the air and flew as fast as possible to her castle. She burst through the doors. Flash Sentry was there "Hey Twil-" Twilight him off. "No time Flash." He looked confused. "Twi, what's wrong?" She shook her head. "No time to explain, I'll tell you later." She ran to the throne room. She was freaking out. She organized books while she waited to calm her nerves. This was not good. Another royal changeling. Fluttershy was the first to arrive "Twilight, what's wrong? Why the urgency. I was feeding Angel Bunny." Twilight whipped around. "I'll explain when the others arrive." And they did. One by one until all six were there. Applejack was the last to arrive. They all sat on their marked chairs. "OK girls I'll explain." She told them about Cacoon and what had happened. "OK Twi, calm down." "No! I will NOT calm down! This is a very serious matter!" Rarity looked at her. "Oh, darling, you can't be so upset 2 days before your wedding! And you can't cancel. Your dress is simply beautiful!" Rainbow gave her a look. "Rarity! That's not matters right now! I agree with Twilight, this is serious." Fluttershy spoke up. "H-how old did she look?" Twilight shrugged. "I don't know 15 maybe?" Flutters looked at her. "Well, if I may, she doesn't sound like she could do much harm..." "Not right now but she will!" Twilight burst out. Fluttershy backed away. "Sorry." She said in her quiet voice. "Calm down Twi! No need to yell at her!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, defending her friend. Pinkie jumped up and down. "Ooh ooh ooh! I know! Let's throw the heir a PARTY! She'll be nice to us for sure after that!" Twilight groaned. "Pinkie! This isn't a grumpy pony! This could put everypony in Equestria in danger!" "Twilight I think you need to take a breather. Git yourself some resr, calm down so you don't have to have all this stress before your weddin'. Should do ya some good." AJ said calmly.
