Prologue
My beautiful little angel,
When I found out that I was pregnant with you and your brother, it was as if a light was turned on in a dark room. You see, about a month before discovering the existence of you two, my doctor told me that I had cancer and had about ten months to live. Your father and I decided that we wanted to spend the rest of my life together as a married couple. While my life was short, it was also beautiful and well-lived. Unfortunately, both my mother and grandmother both had cancer and died from it. However, I had an older brother and a loving father to take care of me. Although I won't physically be there to share in the experiences you face as you grow, know that I am with you every step of the way.
I hope that you will grow into a beautiful young woman that follows her dreams and triumphs even though others may say otherwise. I believe that you will be a wonderful woman that will charm every person that she comes in contact with. I can hope that you'll be able to fight your way down a path that you choose and that you're happy with. I only wish the best upon you and let you know that I love you. I've loved you and your brother ever since you came into existence and will love you until the end of time. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there to share your life victories with you.
