It's was the beginning of another hectic Saturday shift. Max and Zoe's relationship was still a secret as Zoe felt it was not yet the right time.
Max couldn't really see the problem with them being together but it was obvious Zoe thought otherwise.
Zoe and Max got to work and Max got out of the car.
"I'll be there in 10 just don't want anyone getting. Suspicious."
"Okay" he said closing the car door.
10 minutes later Zoe walked into the ED and said morning to Tess and spotted Max over the other side taking to Robyn and lofty.
She made her way to her office and little did she know Max followed her. When he got close enough he placed a hand on her bum and she quickly jumped round.
"What was that for. I nearly screamed."
"Well, I always go for the ohh factor."
"That's not funny."
"It is. Come on it is."
"Okay it was a little. What do you want" she ask quietly as she was very aware that some of the ED staff were just a few metres away.
"Well I was wondering, will it be another rooftop break today, or shall we just get the ball rolling and take it in your office."
"Max. We have been though this, it's just not the right time."
"Oh yeah, I don't see your problem with it though. They are all meant to be you friends, won't they just be happy for you."
"I don't know, I just don't want to be judged."
"What judged because you've fallen for a porter."
"Something like that. It's nothing personal Max. I've never been happier than with you."
"So what your saying is that it's not me its the status gap."
"If that's the way you see it then yes. I'm sorry."
Zoe carried on walking and shit her Office door behind her. Max stood frozen to the spot in the corridor. He loved Zoe but in a way he felt as if she was ashamed of him. It needed sorting once and for all.
