This One Goes
My heart pounding, ears ringing, the cold of the night air was eerie and the darkness was overwhelming. The taste of blood on my tongue, the iron taste of it reminding me that this world had changed. Staring down at the fire, I could only imagine what would of happened. Of what could have been, if I was in the right place and at the right time. So that I could have saved him. Seeing him die, knowing I'd never see his face again...it was like a curse. A haunting image that re-occured in my head. The sinking feeling in my heart made me sniff, blinking away the tears, I kept myself as composed as possible and got back to my feet. Comparing the darkness to the light and warmth of the flickering flames, I knew that solitude wasn't something I wanted in that moment. So, that was when I decided that getting to my feet was the best option. In search of those who could help me, of those who could look out for me and protect me. I need to save myself, before everything fails.
I hope you liked this introduction to what will eventually happen in the future. This was only to give you a feel of what the feelings of the character will be like. So, please may I have 5 reviews to get me started?
