TRUE LOVE ALWAYS WAITS
20-year old Marissa Cooper watched has her boyfriend of 2 years ,Carl, packed his car and perpared to leave her for "better oppurites" has he had put it. She couldn't believe this was happening again. She had met Carl at the beach the summer Ryan left for Chino. She held on to Ryan's memory for half the summer, then she slowly began to let that realtionship go. About a month after she met Carl at the beach, She recviced word that Ryan was not comeing home, the word had came from Seth who had just returned from Tahti. She dind't hear from or anything about Ryan agian till some years later, because the day after Graudtion her and Carl packed up and left Newport behind for New York. Now 2 years later her heart was breaking agian because Carl was leaving and it wasn't for "better oppurites" and they both knew it. It was because Ryan was back. Marissa had not seen Ryan in over 3 years,then one day he walked into the fashion house that she worked at. Truns out that he had fulfilled his dreams ans became a archatech, and he had been asked to become the stage consulant for the house. The frist day was so awarkad, they dind't know how to act around eachother. They had always been lovers never friends, and Marissa made it clear that she had a boyfriend. The moment after she told him about Carl she wish she hadn't. She could see the pain his face and she knew that he was reliving the memories of the wasy they left things, she knew how bad he felt because she was visited by those memories every time she fell asleep. Time moved on and they fell into a pattern of being good friends, things were going great between them Marissa wished she could say the same about her and Carl. He had slowly became jeaulous of her friend ship with Ryan and he had statred to accuse her of cheating. She knew that if something dind't happen soon she was going to fall back into her old ways of drinking. That's why she was kind of happy when Carl was offered the Job in Florida. That's how she had arrived at this moment in time wacthing Carl pull out of the drive head toward Flordia. I hope he gets hit by a hurricane, she thought bitterly has she back into her house. After she satred out the window a few mintues to make sure Carl dind't come back she decdied to check her vocie mail. There was one from teh fasion house and one from "Lover Boy" she laughed has she remembered that was what Seth had put into her phone for Ryan's cell all those years ago.
"Hey Rissa, I just wanna to call and see how you were doing and if you wanted to go to the Rooney concert my date backed out and I thought of you the person who turned me onto them all those years ago. Call me when you get this bye." she immpently called him back and got his vocie mail.
"Hey Ry, I would love to go, it's starts at 9 right? so I was thinking we could just hangout for the day then go to the concert. I can't stand this house much longer. Bye."
She said has she hung up, She rushed up stairs and pulled on a pair of Squezze jeans and her old rooney off the sholuder t. Within a few mintues a horn honked at her door. She grabbed her bag, pulled open the door, ran out it and locked it behind her. She jumped into his 1987 Camero (a graudtion persent from sandy a car from the year he was born, they had also got one for Seth.) The CD he had blasting was one that was all too famialr to her, the model home mix.
"I thought this got destoryed." She said refering to the CD has they started backing down her driveway.
"I saved it because it reminded me of you." He said has he turned to head toward the beach. Marissa set back into her seat and was ready to start a new chapter in her life.
