A/N: So this is just a little one-shot I came up with after watching tonight's episode (Spoils of War).

She is Wikipedia. So she knows the definition of broken. And weak. And it's certainly not Kensi Marie Blye.

Kensi is many things. Independent. Guarded. Loyal. She will not let herself be broken. This is what she tells herself the while time she's in that cave. And the whole time she's on the move. Well, maybe not the whole time.

She's taken to using a certain, methodical, string of words to keep her grounded. Surely they must all think she's crazy. Even Jack gives her strange looks at the constant repeating.

"Fern, Shaggy, Max. Justin, Melissa, Touche. Monty, Sunshine and Gunpowder. Frozen Lake. Top Model, Titanic, tacos or something. Surfing. The beach, Jungle Cat. Communication."

She never completely says his name. But it's all about him.

So when they lead her out, she's not exactly sure what's going on. Then she sees it. The blonde, messy, wonderful mop of hair that she's know anywhere. And she's never been so happy to see anything in her whole life. He passes by, and she can feel his eyes on her, even though she can no longer see him.

Their back, and she's saying good bye to Jack. He says he'll try to keep in touch. Part of her wishes he won't. Part of her wishes he would just disappear, never to be heard from again. Part of her wishes he'd never come back in the first place.

He walks away, coming face to face with her partner. Her best friend. They are so different. But she's come to prefer blondes anyway.

She knows Deeks is walking towards her, but she doesn't take her eyes from her former fiancé. Not because he's more important, but because she knows with one look into those blue eyes, she'll break. And that's not in Kensi's vocabulary.

Despite the tears in her eyes, she thinks she's doing good. Until he tells her he's glad she's alive. After that, somehow she ends up in his arms. And it's a perfect fit, like puzzle pieces fitting together in the most wonderful way.

And of course Sam and Callen show up. They try to make a joke, and while she appreciates the effort, she can't bring herself to joke back. They leave, probably sensing she and Deeks need some time. And when they leave, she makes her mistake. She meets his eyes. And she babbles some nonsense about it being bad, before she's back in his arms, where she belongs. He's wrapping his arms around her thin, beaten frame, telling her they're going home. She sobs into his chest, clinging on for dear life.

Maybe, just this once, it's okay to be broken.

A/N: Reviews would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
