Melancholy Melody
[Random impulse to write some sort of poetry! Gasp! Disclaimer: I don't own InuYasha.]
Sweet gentle notes play softly into the air,
Glowing young souls follow yet without a care.
Passed on from the living and now among the dead,
The children laughing, playing, singing without dread.
Souls that are lost and have no place to stay,
Are taken in and can do what they may.
Their keeper, leading them all with a flute,
Its only purpose to guide, its voice mostly mute.
Soft melodies that are played, helping them cope,
With death, on the other side, living with hope.
Eternally living, the melody plays on,
Until they find peace then are truly gone.
Solace is found in the heart of their souls,
Knowing that they have accomplished their goals.
Laughter is heard, echoing into the night,
They know that they are safe and no need for fright.
Gone from their bodies, free as a bird,
Souls are not forgotten, faint laughter is heard.
Deep melancholy melody, Joyful and happy tune,
All under display, beneath the light of the moon.
Glowing as spirits, floating freely as they play,
The Soul Piper, the children, continue on their way.
Tales tell of this vision, many things are said,
Piper of souls, the inciter of the dead.
[Whoo! First time writing fan fiction poetry oO; I wrote original stuff a long time ago... Maybe earlier this year or late last year but haven't written any poems since... ah well, wrote this at one at night!]
