Just a random poem I wrote in english class, it's meant to be from Kaoru to Kenshin about her feelings for him, indirect mention of Tomoe.

Why can't you see me standing there

I tried so hard to be what you wanted

I did everything I could to try and make you see me for who I was

But you didn't, you didn't see me you saw her

That girl that left long ago

You can't see me for who I am, all you see is her

It's only her, that girl who is already gone

Why can you not see how I am feeling

She was not the one meant for you, she never cared not even a little

Am I nothing to you? Am I better off dead for all you care about me?

Darling I miss you, I need you, but I can't be with you ever again

and now I mourn over the loss of my Beloved.

So now you're back, you try so hard for me

You've seen me, but it's different now you are trying too hard

You say you want to protect me, was it because I was dead inside?

Or was it because of her?

That same girl from all those years ago

Do you still love her?

Even after so much time has passed?

Do you still see her, instead of me?

Oh, darling I wish you would see that I love you so much

But you never see, you only see what you want to

You never see me, I need to be strong

I need to be strong, for just…one more day…

One more day…and then hope I can be strong enough to say it

To say Aishiteru…I love you
