I think there really should be more Fayelissa fanfiction. Here's my go at it.
"Faye, what are we doing here?" whispers Mellissa with a sense of sheer panic as her eyes widen.
"Relax, this isn't sleepy hallow or something, it's just the woods. We've been in them a thousand times" says Faye, with some of her classic let's-see-how-far-I-can-go flare. Once she get's this look in her eye there's no stopping her. Of course Melissa knew this, Melissa knew everything about Faye.
"With us being witches I wouldn't take my chances against there being a headless horseman."
"With us being witches I would be more afraid as the horseman." Faye took the flashlight out of her bag and started to scan the ground. Under the pale moon light, everything seemed to glow eerily white. The parts of the woods that weren't lit were the shrubs and pockets of dense foliage. These areas were pitch black and sure enough Faye seemed to gravitate towards them.
Melissa stopped in her tracks. She looked beyond exasperated. "What are you doing Faye? Why did you ask me to come with you?"
"I need to find a herb for Lee as a favour" she remarked and she bent over to examine some plants.
"Seriously?" Melissa crossed her arms and look sternly at Faye. "Again, why am I here?"
Faye stopped looking and turned around. She abruptly stood up and cocked her head to the side. "Since when do you need a reason to hang out with me?"
"Since I decided to stop being at your beck and call Faye. I'm done with these stupid games." She turned around and headed back to the car.
"I didn't realize hanging out with me meant you were at my beck and call. I never forced you to hang out with me Melissa, you're the one who worships the ground I walk on." She really says these words with edge.
Melissa stops dead in her tracks and turns around with vigour as she raises her voice and says with anger "Screw you. Actually no, screw me for thinking that we were actually friends."
Faye just rolls her eyes and dryly retorts. "Obviously friendship is overrated." She proceeds to bend down to re-examine the plants.
"When will I ever learn? Whatever, I'm out of here." Melissa leaves to go back to the car.
As Melissa leaves, Faye can't help but feel a hint of sadness. Ever since Nick, things had changed. The only problem was she didn't know why she cared so much.
"Melissa! How am I supposed to get home?"
