(I've Had) The Time of My Life
"Pam, come on. This is my favorite song from Dirty Dancing, please?" Jim begged.
"Jim, you know I'm a dorky dancer. Besides, I have so many people to thank, and so should you," Pam stayed grounded.
"Well Bee-Mrs. Halpert, I don't think one dance would hurt anyone. Besides, it's our wedding day. Have a little fun." Pam shook her head no and began to thank other people. Jim had other ideas though. He lifted her over his shoulder and began carrying her towards the dance floor.
"Jim! Jim! Put me down, I'm in a dress!" Pam playfully smacked him.
"Just this dance babe!" He put her down and started dancing with her.
"Jim, why are you making me do this?" She moved stiffly. He just kept dancing. Pam was surprised, she had only ever seen him slow dance, but he was hitting every move that Swayze did. She stopped swaying, and he took her hand.
"Come on, just do it with me. We took these dance classes for nothing otherwise."
"You have no idea how lucky you are that I love you, my dear husband." Pam began to follow Jim's lead and started dancing to the song.
"Start making your way back," Jim nudged her, but Pam just looked at him incredulously.
"You've gotta be kidding me Jim. There is no way you can lift me the way Swayze lifted her."
"Wanna bet?"
"Absolutely I do. I'll get you all the drinks you want for the next month."
"Ha, good try. You already do that. Gonna have to try harder Halpert."
"Fine Halpert," Jim grinned. "How about I let you pick the shows and movies you want for the next month. Same if I win."
"You have a deal. I'm tired of all the cooking shows anyway," She laughed and made her way away from him.
"Go!" He chuckled and watched as Pam started running at him, arms wide out. Luckily for the couple, Jim lifted Pam with ease and the crowd was amazed. Jim lowered her to the floor gently before starting to slow dance with her again.
"I'm impressed Halpert. You're not as lanky as I thought you were," she smiled softly at him.
"Shut it Pam. You love my lankiness," He kissed her and started to sing the words into her ear.
"You know," Pam teased. "Even though I'm going to be watching all of those cooking shows for the next month, it's worth it. I've had the time of my life this past year."
"Do you owe it all to me?" Jim played with her curls and continued to sway.
"I do. I absolutely do." Pam leaned up to kiss him before resting her head against his chest and continuing to listen to his heart.
