He watched her on that stage every night. The way she twirled, on pointed toes, mesmerized him. He always waited to see if he could talk to her after she had performed, but he could never find her. It was like he was falling in love with someone he had never met. She had captivated him without them ever meeting and that made him want her more. He knew that he had to get back stage and see her.

As the curtains closed, she turned and hugged her fellow dancers. She loved that stage, the dancing and the people, but she had also noticed him. She always saw him standing at the stage door, waiting for her to emerge. She was so scared of falling in love with anyone, because her career was so important to her, and he was just so handsome. She always snuck out quickly, before she could catch his eye. But tonight would be different.

She walked off the stage, laughing with the other girls. Tonight had been their final performance and he had to see her. As she walked down towards the dressing rooms, she saw him; looking more handsome than ever. He was holding a flower in one hand, a dorky smile upon his face. He was extremely tall, and even though she was a ballet dancer, she was actually quite short. As she walked up closer to him, she tilted her head upwards to see his face. This wasn't right. How could she be feeling such strong feeling for a guy that she had only ever glanced at? Finally, they were face to face.

'Hello, Ms Berry?'

'Hello, mysterious stranger. Will you please answer me one question?'

'My name?'

She laughed, awkwardly pulling her skirt down 'No… I've seen you waiting for me after all of my performances. I dance with some of the most beautiful girls of the NYC Ballet Company, and you wait for me. Why me?'

He leant in closer to her, looking straight into her deep brown eyes 'Because, you are the most perfect woman I have ever seen. When you're on that stage, you are all I see. Nobody else matters'.

He took his hand and gently lifted her chin up until they were staring into each other's eyes. He moved his lips slowly down towards hers, and she did not flinch. This was like some romantic movie and she felt like she was about to melt all over the floor. Their lips crashed into each other's and instantly, she felt a million emotions flood over her. This was not her at all. She never let strange men kiss her, but this was different; he was different. They pulled away and she looked up at him, biting her bottom lip and smiling.

'I don't usually do this… kissing people I don't know'

'Don't worry me either' He put his hand out and handed her a flower 'This is for you. I hope that since you can kiss strangers, that you can accept flowers from them too?'

'I'm sure that I can make an acceptation'
