INTRODUCTION
This story starts out somewhere between fate and a pain in my ass. Another name for a pain in my ass is Love. It's everywhere you look and when you're single it's the only thing you see. My name is Audrey, I'm 24 years-old single and have already started collecting cats for when I'm the crazy cat lady. I'm from a super small town in Mid-western Ontario and like all small town's people the goal is to get out! I have gotten out only to live in a studio apartment in the Greater Toronto Area with my two cats, Bogart and Bacall. You probably thinking your only 24 years old don't worry so much about love but when your 3 best friends have already found it, you tend to start wondering if it will ever happen to you. I come from a long line of people that have meet their significant other through fate. My paternal grand parents met at some kind of party where they were matched up to play some game that no one plays anymore…My grandma doesn't really go into it much other then to say that my Grandpa was in the band, making my grandma a groupie in the early 50's. My parents met at a stag and doe, my dad was sitting next to his cousin and just a little bit down the table my mom was sitting beside her brother. I guess they both caught eyes but both thought that they were dating the people they were sitting beside, later on that night they were introduced and the rest is history. Almost 30 years of marriage, 3 kids later and still going strong.
My three best friends are Tina Morris, Angie Monroe, and Rebecca Luther. Tina is a Jr. editor for "Match Magazine" which connects city singles. She lives with her husband of 1 year in a flat with one of the best views in the city. Angie runs a trendy café in the heart of the city. Her husband of 3 almost 4 years owns it. They live in a large house in the suburbs where they will soon welcome their first child. Rebecca up until 3 months ago was my single partner in crime. Rebecca probably works the hardest out of all of us. She work in down grading which is basically my way of saying she flies around the world and fires people so that multi-million dollar companies can save some bucks. Rebecca got a pretty hefty bonus this year and decided that Vegas would be the best getaway for her, little did we know on the home front that she would land at the airport physically run into a pilot and within 3 hours of their meeting they would be married and celebrating their honeymoon. I was completely shocked. Don't get me wrong I love my friends; it's just that I hate being the 7th wheel. There is nothing worse other then the 11th wheel. Also being the only single one, your friend decide to go slightly crazy and set up on dates even when their not your type.
