As Eve got off the bus, she realised that this was probably one of the worst days to leave the house. It had been snowing. She'd been in Brighton to meet up with her friends who stayed there, as she hadn't seen them as much as she'd like to have since she moved to an apartment in London with her best friend Martha. The snow had brought Trafalgar Square to a standstill, it was barren.
She trudged over the square, trying to not loose her step in the ever heavy snow. Her coat was warm, but her hands were not. She opened her bag to find her gloves and she then put them on. It was dark. It was also horrible and cold but she knew she only had to walk through a couple of streets to get to the apartment, and she knew her way like the back of her hand.
Suddenly, she saw a shadow following her. Then a voice. 'Excuse me? Excuse me!'She started to walk faster, the voice was recognisable, but she couldn't pinpoint who it belonged to. She shunned it as part of her imagination, and kept on walking.
Then she noticed the mysterious man was speeding up. She turned around, and was about to use self-defense but then when she looked closer, it was none other than the man she'd been watching for years, blogging about and generally fangirling about, Phil Lester.
'Excuse me, you dropped your iPod out of your bag, I just picked it up.' Th.. Thank you' She couldn't believe it, right in front of her, was the man that she'd admired for years, and she wasn't saying anything?!.
Phil started to walk off but Eve shouted over 'I'm a big fan, you know!'. 'A Fan!?' He replied 'I haven't met one in ages! I know it seems creepy, but what's your name, I recognise you from somewhere'. He started walking back.
'Eve, I skyped you with my friend one time? The one with the eyebrows?'
'Ah yes, Why are you out so late, surely you're too young to be out past 12?' He seemed concerned.
'Oh, I was just meeting a couple of friends near where I used to go to school and the trains were stopped because of the snow, so I had to take a very long bus from Brighton to here and I'm just walking back to my apartment, it's just round the cor- Oh sorry, am I boring you?' She said.
'Oh no, I was just getting some soy sauce from Sainsbury's, we were making stir fry, and we forgot it again' He said, making a refernece to one of his older videos. 'anyway, do you want me to walk you home, it might not be safe'
'No, that's okay, I haven't far to walk, and I don't want you to keep Dan waiting, leaving him alone, you know how clumsy he is!'
'Haha, no it's okay, I'm a sucker for damsel-in-distress'
WHAT. A couple of months ago, Eve's flatmate Martha had met Dan, and he said exactly the same.
'Okay, if you say so' She put her arm in his, and they walked across the square. They passed Sainsbury's and Phil got the soy sauce. Then, they passed a Shakeaway, which was, surprisingly, still open past midnight. She asked if he wanted to get one, and that she'd pay for both, but he was too kind and he insisted he would pay for hers and his. They sat down and talked about everything. They only talked for a half an hour but they talked so much that it seemed like they'd been talking forever.
When they finally had to leave, he walked her around the corner to her flat, and she was about to walk off, when he rushed up to her and kissed her on the cheek. Eve blushed, this day couldn't get any better. And then he gave her his telephone number. 'Eve, I really really like you, can we meet up again some time?'
'Sure! I like you too' And with one final kiss, they parted. Phil went home to shoot a video, and Eve went in and told Martha the whole thing.
