A/N: Hahaa... Here I am with another story! A NxK story this time :)
This story is about Katie's high school experience, that will go throughout 4 years of her life. From her starting years to her ending years. It will be divided in 4 parts; freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years. I will try to keep a great pace on the story though.
Also, each year is related to one popular singer & each chapter to one of this singer's songs. It's kinda complicated to explain but here's an example:
Chapter 4: Back to December by Taylor Swift… Ect.
Soo… Here's the order;
Freshman year: Taylor Swift's songs.
Sophomore year: Katy Perry's songs.
Junior: Rihanna's songs
Senior: Lady GaGa's songs.
Of course, this is only the prologue. The real first chapter should come soon, depending of how many people read. The main pairings will be AxH and NxK but of course there will be more. I may not finish this though, because I'm seriously considering quitting FFN if my school grades suffer from it. Anyways, on this, enjoy that preview!
I don't own anything Total Drama related, and I honestly don't want to. All of this belongs to Teletoon and its owners.
Fake Lovers, Imaginary Friends:
The Prologue
I gritted my teeth and gripped possessively my fashionable pink schoolbag, my heart pumping faster than its usual rhythm. My eyes scanned the facade and all its content, from the cars parked to the people walking and entering the school. More time passed, more I was scared to get out the car and start that new life I wasn't so prepared for. I sucked into a deep breath, telling myself everything would be alright, and put my hand on the door handle. But I didn't do anything else.
"Katie?" My mom's honeyed voice broke through my stormy train of thoughts, comforting me and giving me some of the courage I really needed. "Are you going to get out soon? You're gonna be late, hun."
"Just five more seconds and I'm out, okay?" I suggested, begging her in my glare not to let me out of the vehicle.
Mom motherly put her hand on mine, her pale hazelnut eyes meeting my fearful dark brown eyes. She laughed quietly, figuring out what was scaring me that much. I reddened in discomfort; that woman knew me too well.
"Katie, I know you're scared. The first day of high school is always hard for everyone, but we all go through and even survive throughout graduation and life in general. It's not that bad! Once you know your class's emplacement and your schedule, everything will be done by itself, just believe in yourself."
I smiled, feeling a little reassured by what he just told me. If my mother only had one knack, it would certainly be having the right words. She always was there at the worst moments of my life, the one that was always drying my tears, and the one that always had the right logic. With years, she easily gained my confidence. That is why she and I had an important complicity with each other. I told her everything; she told me everything. She was my best friend.
I sighed, as she pecked one kiss on my forehead, wishing me luck and a good day. I grabbed my things and got out the car.
And here I was, starting the most important four years of my life.
