The Phoenix Will Rise
Chapter 1 The Jewel is completed
Inuyasha sped from tree to tree. Kagome was back from the future he could smell her, but she wasn't the only one he smelt.
"Naraku" he said with hate. When he got to the well he saw Naraku waiting for Kagome.
"You bastard! What do you want?" he asked.
Kagome was just climbing out of the well when Inuyasha said this.
"Why just your miko companion," He said with a smirk.
"Leave her out of this! She has nothing to do with us!"
"But you are so wrong hanyou, (a/n spelling??) by coming to the past, freeing you and then falling in love with you she has everything to do with us," He said with malice deep in his voice.
Kagome just stood there shocked. Naraku knew she loved Inuyasha! How? She didn't stop to think though; she notched an arrow to her bow.
"Naraku you will leave me alone or I will not miss as I did the last time we met," Kagome saw a hint of fear in his eyes. "Leave now, Naraku!" she warned.
Naraku smiled evilly "Oh I Would miko but I don't think your pup wants to come with me" he held up Shippo. (a/n I know he's not her pup but for this story she is like a mom to him)
"Shippo!" Kagome cried out, her mother's instincts kicking in overdrive, she let her arrow fly. Every ounce of her being praying that it would hit its mark. The arrow hit Naraku's shoulder causing him to drop Shippo. Inuyasha rushed forward and caught him before Naraku could get him again. By this time Sango and Miroku had shown up. Sango let her boomerang fly. It hit Naraku in the chest causing him to fall. Inuyasha jumped on him and had him pinned down "Any last words Naraku?" he asked
Naraku began to chant a spell in a tongue that Inuyasha could not understand. Just before he could disappear Inuyasha grabbed his jewel-shards "You die now"
"I don't think so, hanyou" and with that he disappeared into the darkness.
Inuyasha looked around for him. "Don't bother Inuyasha, we will be seeing him again."
"Damn it"
"Kagome!" Shippo exclaimed. "You saved me Kagome!"
"Yes and you completed the jewel" Inuyasha said handing her the jewel fragments. Kagome concentrated and soon the jewel was fused together forming the shards. She gasped when she saw the completed jewel.
"We did it. We finally completed the jewel," she said. Suddenly the jewel rose into the air and a light pink light surrounded Kagome.
Kagome saw a youki walking towards her "Congratulations Kagome, you completed the jewel. Now you must protect, as Kikyo (a/n spelling?) once did. But I will give you a gift that Kikyo never had." And with that Kagome let out an earth-shattering scream as her body began to change.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha exclaimed running to her side. Kagome slowly opened her eyes. Inuyasha gasped. Kagome had changed; her once brown eyes were a greenish-blue, her hair was longer and had silver streaks in it, her ears grew pointed, and her figure became more shaped. But the most surprising thing was her long tail. Kagome had become an inu youki!
