Mikasalla: a small, discreet town on Indra. It's peaceful, quiet, and… well, no one really cares about that, and none of it is really important, so let's move on.

Jenna waited at the small town's gates as Felix and Sheba went to search for the scholar Kraden. The girl groaned; Kraden was such a pain sometimes—always too caught up in his studies to realize that the world needed saving. She began to amuse herself by casting Dragon Fume on everyday worker ants that marched from their colony to a discarded apple…

"That stupid old man! Why can't we just leave him here?" Sheba grumbled as she trailed behind her dark-haired companion. He said nothing, knowing that he need not. They needed him to tell them how to open certain doors (with psynergy, of course) and to explain what a… lycanthro-something was. So, as much as he'd like to leave that old, useless man behind, they had to find him anyways.

Kraden was in some corner nearby, observing two punch-ants as they fought. Of course, before he was spotted, Sheba made Felix stop when she spotted a large gray cat who was followed by a tiny kitten. The she-cat came up to them and rubbed her head against Felix's ankle. Sheba immediately knelt down and petted the kitten gently on the head.

"Aww, it's so cute!" she whispered, looking up into Felix's foretelling eyes. "Can we keep them?" The 18-year-old, expecting such, had a reply ready.

"No, Sheba. We still have to travel across two and a half continents, light two more lighthouses, collect some more psynergy rubbish, and fight a three-headed dragon that we don't know about. We are not bringing cats along with us." Sheba pouted as the two heard rapid footsteps and a familiar voice behind them.

Jenna was quickly bored of burning ants and decided to go find her brother and the Laliveran. She ran in the direction that they had started off in and soon spotted them.

"Shebaaa! Feeelix!" she called. "What's taking you so long?" She skidded to a halt, as her companions dodged out of her way, grabbing the cats and pulling them out of harm's way. "Aww!" she cried when she saw the cats. "How cute! Can we keep them?"

At this point, the punch ants stopped fighting each other as their gaze turned upon a certain, unwanted spectator. Out of the corner he flew, crashing into the three teenagers and two cats.

Hadokken: So here's my first fan-fiction. I wrote it in class, during the standardized tests…Eh, you probably don't care about that. Anyways, please read and review; I could use some feedback.
