More than all the Stars.
I swung my legs over the edge of the edge of the bed. I had been trying to sleep for hours and had given up. Maybe a wander around Love's Voyage would make me sleepy.
I grabbed a blanket off my bed as I got up and threw it over my shoulder. My reflection caught my eye as I past. My brown hair was its usual mess, my blue eyes tired and my pjs rumpled. I shrugged at myself, I wasn't impressing anyone anyway.
I left my room and wandered down the corridor, my soft footsteps echoing around me. Before long, I found myself outside the room that had a glass roof and grass and trees to walk in between.
I peered into see a brown haired boy sitting in the middle of the room, his face upturned and graced with a look of wonder, totally immersed in the stars. I shook my head to myself. Of course he would be here. I wrapped my blanket around myself and sat down next to him.
"Hey Axle." He looked at me in surprise.
"Moohicky. What are you doing here?"
"Couldn't sleep. Went on a walk, ended up here." I answered, shrugging.
"Ah." He said in response, returning back to gazing at the stars. I took the chance to study his face. Ever since I had met Axle I had been drawn to him and I had to admit I had a bit of a crush on the boy.
He was quite different from most guys I had met. He was a nerd, with many quirks. He loved the stars and anything Sci-Fi. Give him a spaceship and he was in heaven. He had his favourite ships and could name many by heart and knew how they worked. And don't get him started on the engineering...
"They are beautiful, aren't they?" Murmured Axle, still gazing upwards. I knew he was talking about the stars.
"Yeah, they really are. So many..." I trailed off as I Axle look at me, as if to say something, then apparently thought better of it, and looked at the floor with a pink tinge to his cheeks.
I yawned and stretched, starting to feel tired. I flopped over and leant on Axle as I looked up at the starts tiredly. I felt Axle cautiously put his arm around me, and I responded by snuggling closer to him.
Warm and comfortable snuggled up next to Axle under the dim light of the stars, I slowly drifted off to sleep, listening to his heartbeat. As I did, I heard him whisper quietly, "I love you Moohicky. More than all the stars."
