"I'll be ok…" Amu said, a faint smiled appeared on her lips.

"No, you won't… I'm not going to let you go alone." Ikuto shook his head.

"You can't protect me from everything you know…" Amu said looking down.

"Your right." Ikuto said sighing. He pulled her to his chest. "But I can get pretty damn close…"

"Why Can't you trust me enough…" Amu asked, trying to get away from Ikuto. He tightened his grip.

"I can trust you…" He whispered into her hair.

"Then why can't you trust me to go and come back safely?" Amu questioned, giving up on trying to break free.

"Because," Ikuto said, her loosened his grip and pulled Amu away just enough, so he could see her face. "That isn's something you can promise me. Do you know what that would do to me. For you to go away, promising that you'll be perfectly fine, then the next day I would have to deal with you coming back with a broken leg. Or worse, you not coming back at all."

"Ikuto, I have to do something…" Amu whispered.

"No, you don't." Ikuto said through his teeth. "Stop being so god damn stubborn. Your staying."

"No, no I'm not." Amu said speaking up. "I have to go and help. You can't stop me or control me."

"Do you know what you mean to me? What would happen if you never came back? Or if you get hurt. Even just a cut. That would hurt me. Because I would know that I was the one who let you go. I was the one who was supposed to be protecting you. I would live mt whole life, knowing that I could have helped you."

Amu bite her lip. She didn't know what to say.

"I know I can't promise you that I'll be ok." Amu said eventually. "But I can promise that if anything happens, it wouldn't be your fault."

"But that's not enough!" Ikuto yelled, causing Amu to jump. "I need to know that you'll be ok! That nothing will happen to you!"

"But that's a risk that we have to take eventually!"

"Not if I can stop it." Ikuto said calming down.
