Prompt- Barbie
I live In the Capitol. Everything is perfect here. Everybody is perfect. They are like real life barbie dolls. I have some Barbie dolls. Apparently they are hundreds of years old. They look like everybody here in the Capitol. Perfect. Perfect face. Perfect body. Perfect hair. One of mine has a wedding dress. It's perfect. I want to use the design for my wedding. I've always wondered when I'd meet my ken. I just want to be like Barbie. But isn't blonde such a natural colour. I prefer blue. What about blonde with blue streaks! That solves that problem. After all one of my dolls has pink streaks. I have blue eyes so I'm good there. Here in the Capitol all the stuff we do includes the option of picking out a Barbie doll and becoming it. My friend and I have already picked out our doll. Unfortunately the operation can't be done till we are 16. And we are only 12. Whenever I get a new Barbie doll I always get the originals. They may cost more but when your dads a gamemaker you can afford it.
Right now we are preparing for the 74th hunger games. They start in one day. I love how Katniss Everdeen volunteered for her sister. Maybe she can win! After all she did volunteer. Some, Very few. Believe these games are wrong. Mother and father believe they are wrong. Although with my dads job -which he doesn't talk about- we are safe. The Capitol thinks we are trusting. Ha.
I saw the look of the boy that came to get Katnisses sister off her. He had a look of love and desire in his eyes. And rebellion. After Katnisses district companion, Peeta Mellark, declared his love for her, everybody has been talking about it. I know gamemakers can't sponsor tributes, but mum can. Dad told her to sponsor Katniss. In school we are allowed to pick a tribute and sponsor them too. I picked Katniss. some had picked a career like Cato or Clove, others had picked Thresh. I don't think anybody picked Rue. I don't want her to die. My best friend picked Peeta.
We can get the tributes tokens and I got a mockingjay -like Katnisses pin- earrings. I even got a mockingjay design Barbie. I promised myself it's the only modern Barbie I will ever get. I never felt this strong about a tribute before. I really want Katniss to win. So she can see her sister and the rest of her family again. And that boy.
Oh I think I forgot to mention something. That something being my name. I am…
