Between Two Worlds
In the darkness, realm of the dead,
The swift kitsune hunts down his prey.
At night he rests his weary head,
On the pile of treasures where he lay.
The most cunning thief of the Makai,
Would fall one day like all things else.
Into the living world he would fly,
To live his life as someone else.
Between two worlds, where would he choose?
His body has healed, but his heart,
Is torn by the things he would lose,
If from either world he should part.
Powerful demon, immortal soul,
Or pretty boy in search of love.
He needs both sides to become whole,
One life alone is not enough.
Patiently he waited, for ten years,
So to his world he could return,
But five years later, he sheds his tears,
For how to love, he just learned.
His once shut heart opens it doors,
And loved the world, loves it all.
This new feeling he must explore,
Catching any love that would fall.
And this emotion forms his new motto,
"All things can be overcome with love,"
Everywhere his caring would show,
And then, that was always enough.
Between two worlds, where does his heart lie?
The Youko thief has been tamed,
By a mortal woman who would die,
To give everything to who he became.
But a wild beast can never change,
His soul within would stay the same,
His old cruel spirit still remains,
Burning inside with growing flames.
Yet that human woman loved enough,
To remove the briars from his heart,
That made him cold, unable to love,
And from her side, he would never part.
He abandons the demon behind his face,
And vows to adapt, to see her in joy,
He smoothes his manner to perfect grace,
Gone is the fiend in the flawless boy.
Between two worlds, where does fate decide?
Will the rose love the land not his own,
Or will the thorn still hidden inside,
Bring him back to the life he had known.
Friendship and love pin him to the ground,
But the power he had tempts him still,
He can't let of the friends he found,
That heal his heart more than power will.
Good and evil sometimes cross,
There's more sadness than evil in his eyes,
He seen the darkness, felt the loss,
He's had enough for all his lives.
His face reflects nothing of his past,
For he wishes to forget those days.
To throw away bad memories passed,
And to live his life with more peaceful ways.
But how do you destroy, how do you hide?
Something that's always been part of you.
Forming your very soul inside,
And perpetually showing the truth.
Between two worlds, where will destiny go?
With path in life will he finally choose?
Already his choice is tough, but does he know,
What things he would eventually lose?
Between two worlds, which one will prevail?
Will the thorn pierce the beautiful rose?
Between two worlds, he cannot fail,
For both will be with him wherever he goes.
